PlacidWay: What is Box Technique?
Dr. Nihat Tanfer: The Box Technique uses and transfers a piece of jaw extracted from an animal to restore sections of chin bone and jaw bone structures which have been irretrievably destroyed, by an accident, disease or infection, with no chance of indention. The technique is revolutionary, performed for the first time in Turkey.

Dr. Nihat Tanfer: The successful implantation and bio-regeneration of bone tissue provides patients with the opportunity to have - and take advantage of - dental implant technologies. The BOX technique completely repairs damaged or missing bones and brings the jaw line and chin back to its original structure and form.

Dr. Nihat Tanfer: Box Technique is a regenerative technique able to convert the bone volume defect into a container (the box) which can be easily filled by the chosen material. It allows the bone regeneration in the three space dimensions, avoids bone grafting to the patient and minimizes the surgical sessions. The aim of Box Technique is restoring the bone to its original condition not only functionally, but also aesthetically.

Dr. Nihat Tanfer: This technique is unique; because there is no need to take a piece of bone from other parts of the human body. Box Technique uses only absorbable materials and allows to restore lost bone volume where aesthetic requires which allows a quick and easy transfer of implant placement.
PlacidWay: How much does the procedure cost?
Dr. Nihat Tanfer: Box Technique prices change depending on to the patient’s jaw bone structure and prices can be settled after patients send their panoramic x-ray. Usually the price for this technique varies between 7.000 - 9.500 € ($9,030 - $12,255) depending on the complexity of the procedure, the age of the patient, the quality of bone structure and several other factors.

Dr. Nihat Tanfer: We have been performing this technique for more than 2 years and we’ve got very good and successful results.
PlacidWay: Will I be needing a second visit?
Dr. Nihat Tanfer: You will be needing a second visit to apply the implants and crowns after the healing period; approximately 6-8 months later.
