Migraine is a chronic neurological disorder. It is more common in women than in men. It is a type of moderate to severe headache and also results in nausea and vomitting in worse cases. Light and sound sensitivity are very common symptoms of migraine. This headache stays from 4 to 72 hours. It has become a very common headache these days. People with migraine also face vision problems. This headache occurs in one part of the head, on the left most commonly.

The actual cause of migraine is still unknown, but most supported theory is that it occurs due to hyper-excitability of the cerebral cortex and/or abnormal control of pain neurons in the trigeminal nucleus of the brainstem.

Dr. Datta’s clinical interests have been wide ranging and focused on finding innovative solutions to complex clinical problems associated with chronic pain and spine issues.
