How a specialist breast cancer recovery centre helps sufferers rebuild their lives
Each year in Britain more than 45,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer. Two years ago I became one of them.
I had always firmly believed that, should this happen to me, I would go nowhere near conventional medicine but opt immediately for alternative therapies. This was before the reality of such a diagnosis hit me. When it did, I put all my faith and trust in my wonderful consultant and allowed him to lead me down the path of surgery and radiotherapy, followed by daily medication which I will take for five years.
