VARANASI: The three-day international conference on 'recent advances in safety and efficacy of ayurvedic formulations' concluded on Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus on Saturday. The conference was organised by the varsity's department of rasa shastra.

Delivering the Kaviraj Pratap Singh memorial oration in the first session of the concluding day, C K Katiyar, vice president and head, Dabur Research and Development Centre, Ghaziabad, explained how various medicinal plants and herbs are being accepted by international standardisation organisations (ISOs) in the US, Africa, Malaysia and Britain and their therapeutic potentials are being explored.
