Bone Marrow Transplant
Following details are required before Bone Marrow Transplant case is considered:
1. Details of siblings: It is important for us to know the details of the siblings
2. Age of the patient and siblings
3. Weight of the patient and siblings- Very important
4. In case there is facility of HLA Typing in their country, all siblings must have the HLA tying done in there, before they come here and send us the reports. Basis that we give a conclusive opinion.
Cost and Stay
Kindly be advised that the patient should come prepared to stay for 3-4 months. If all goes well and the patient is ready for the transplant, then the package cost for Bone Marrow Transplant is
USD 45000- USD - 75000 USD
with 45 days of stay depending on which type of transplant is required whether autologous or allogenic.
In case of Allogenic, it is important to have details of siblings. As you know there are lots of tests involved including the HLA typing test (in case of allogenic). Initial work up and investigations take about 15- 20 days.
If no siblings, further treatment will be recurring cycles of chemo or autologous stem cell transplant.
This cost will include the initial work up and investigations (related to BMT) and stay of 45 days in the hospital in a single room for the bone marrow transplant procedure.
After the transplant, patient is required to stay in India for another month for observation. Initial work up and tests would be done both on IPD and OPD basis.
Kindly be advised the above package will not include:
- Guest house stay when the patient gets the investigations done on OPD basis or after bone marrow transplant
- Any other disease / complication
- Investigations for any other complication/ disease
- All expenses for stay beyond the package period
- Professional charges of any other consultant not related to BMT
- Any other additional procedure
- Use of special drugs/ consumables if not part of BMT
Note: Room Category can not be changed. The patient has to stay in a single room.
