Prof. Dr. med. Johannes Atta

Prof. Johannes Atta has finished his clinical electives at Harvard, USA and from that point on he has been one of the leading doctors in the fields of Hematology and Oncology. In 2016, after a series of tenures at University Hospitals throughout Germany, Prof. Atta joined the Anova Clinic as head of the department for cellular medicine where he has been leading the research into new ways of treating various conditions using stem cells. He is member of several scientific networks, including the German Society of Hematology and Oncology (DGHO), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Prof. Dr. mult. Michael K. Stehling

Founder of the Anova Clinics and the renowned Prostate Center, which became world leading in the treatment of Prostate Cancer with IRE / NanoKnife®, Dr. Stehling has honed his knowledge alongside Sir Peter Mansfield, the Nobel Prize winner for Medicine in 2003 (his research was in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging). After completing his doctorate in Echo Planar Imaging, Dr. Stehling has been dedicated to implementing new technologies and stem cell treatments in clinical practice. His expertise is widely known in the world and he is always eager to apply his knowledge to new cases.

Treatments and procedures

Stem Cell Secretome (SCS) Therapy

While the use of stem cell treatments is limited around the world due to heavy restrictions imposed by legal entities, the doctors and researchers at Anova IRM have come up with the latest breakthrough when it comes to stem cell treatment. Through separation of healing therapeutic components that are present in the stem cells, the doctors are able to apply much more concentrated effort at healing the medical conditions usually healed by stem cells alone. The stem cells are harvested from the patient and then grown and expanded in vitro to stimulate the growth of specific regenerative substances, which are then injected back into the patient themselves. Compared to regular stem cell treatments, the SCS is associated with less risk, as there are no cells themselves for the body to reject.

 

Bone Marrow Concentrate (BMC)

While early stem cell research focused on Embryonic or adult Mesenchymal Stem Cells, due to regulations, the researchers have turned towards alternatives which would be accepted by those regulations. They found it in bone marrow stem cells. They are not as restricted as other stem cells as they require less manipulation before being injected back into the patient. Bone Marrow Concentrate has proven to be effective in treating strokes and heart diseases and conditions, among other things, and are safe and relatively easy to administer. 

 

Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs)

One of the most famous types of stem cells, the Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have shown to be extremely useful and effective when it comes to treating a wide range of diseases and medical conditions. Being the progenitors of connective tissues, these cells have the capability to transform into a wide range of other cell types, which is why they are known as "multipotent stem cells". MSCs have become the cornerstone of the Stem Cell Secretome Therapy developed by Anova IRM, but are also used as originaly intended, as they are easy to harvest, stable to culture and possess little to no potential to grow into cancerous cells.
