Les Mariannes Wellness Sanctuary (LMWS) is an upscale Medical Wellness Resort, with a clinic licence in the northern region of Mauritius, offering a complete range of integrative based therapies and treatments for wellness, overnight stays and treatment for specific medical, psychological and substance dependency conditions.

LMWS has all the amenities of a boutique wellness hotel, through its 25 rooms for stays, medical consultation rooms, as well as other facilities, such as gym, swimming pool and spa. The Spa section has 11 treatment rooms that offer a wide variety of massage therapies and wellness services including traditional Ayurveda Massage, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Sports, Reiki, Meditation and others.

Doctor Siddick Maudarbocus, Founder and CEO, is the visionary behind this revolutionary project in the Indian Ocean, based on his 35-years’ experience of clinical practice in Mauritius, UK, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, and Africa. His areas of expertise being treatment of addiction and management of pain in the body.  His aim is make to LMWS a model treatment centre for Integrative Medicine – to address the diseases of modern civilisation : Stress, Burn Out, Addictions, eating disorders and psychological medicine –anxiety, depression and bipolar disorders.

Dr. Siddick Maudarbocus

Les Mariannes Wellness Sanctuary was founded by Dr. Siddick Maudarbocus, who has traveled to several countries to learn the secrets of complementary medicine. He was taught the ancient healing systems of Ayurvheda, auriculotherapy, acupuncture and Traditional Chinese medicine in Sri Lanka, Singapore, China and bio-energy medicine in France, Germany. He learned ear acupuncture from the man who developed this system of healing: Dr Paul Nogier.

Dr. Siddick Maudarbocus has also been acknowledged as one of the world’s leading acupuncture specialists by the World Health Organization. After working for 35 years in countries such as the UK, Ireland, Germany, France and several regions in the Middle East, Dr. Siddick Maudarbocus has chosen the island of Mauritius to create this unique wellness sanctuary, bringing under the same roof all the therapies he has learned.

Les Mariannes Wellness Sanctuary was founded by Dr. Siddick Maudarbocus, who has traveled to several countries to learn the secrets of integrative medicine. Dr Siddick Maudarbocus qualified as a medical doctor at Dublin University and worked for several years in the UK National Health Service in medical and psychiatry hospitals. Feeling a need to expand his knowledge into different systems of healing, he travelled ever eastward, studying first in France with the father of modern ear acupuncture, Dr Paul Nogier, a man who could cure many diseases just by inserting needles into the patient’s ear, then to Germany to study Bio energy medicine at the Bicom institute. Later he travelled even further, to the Far East, the birthplace of healthcare, to study Ayurveda in Sri Lanka, and Acupuncture in China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
