The procedure takes about two hours from start to finish, during which the man is placed under general anesthesia. Patients generally recover from the procedure in about four to six weeks, when they can resume activities. However, weightlifters are cautioned to wait an additional two to three weeks before resuming any weight-lifting routines.

Any man dissatisfied with the size of his chest after repeated and continual effort to increase chest size through weight-lifting may benefit from this procedure. Men recovering from traumatic injuries, deformities, muscle tears or other physical conditions may also benefit from the procedure. Medical travelers to destinations such as South America, Poland and Thailand or Singapore may spend thousands of dollars less, with an average savings of approximately 40% to 60% on the same procedure performed in the U.S.
Who Performs Pectoral Augmentation Procedures?
A cosmetic or plastic surgeon with experience in pectoral augmentation is recommended for this procedure in order to achieve optimal results. Plastic surgeons should belong to national or international plastic and cosmetic surgical organizations or associations, and have ample experience in the field of implants to achieve desired results.
