"I have been an endurance athlete most of my life, and at age 60, it became even more important to me to live a healthy lifestyle. My brother died at age 40 of a heart attack, and learning that I could carry the same genes that put both of us at risk, motivated me to take the "love my heart" package.
It was quite extra-ordinary to find out that I carry genes that could in combination, contribute to not only heart disease and strokes, but also increased my risk for blood clotting if I was to lead a sedentary lifestyle.
