Dr. Richard M. Cowin, DPM, FACFAS, FAAFAS, noted podiatric surgeon, is the
director of Laser Foot Surgery Specialist in Orlando, Florida. He is an acclaimed lecturer, practitioner, and pioneer in the field of minimally-invasive and Laser foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Cowin is board certified by The American Board of Podiatric Surgery, The American Board of Ambulatory Foot Surgery, The American Academy of Pain Management, and The American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and has served for years as a member of its Minimal Incision Surgery Committee. He is also a Fellow of The Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery and has served as a board member, treasurer, secretary, vice president, president, past president, scientific chairman, and has chaired the Standards of Care and Preferred Practice Guidelines committees. In 2006, Dr. Cowin was honored to be the recipient of the prestigious Hall of Fame Award from the Academy of Ambulatory Foot & Ankle Surgery.
Dr Cowin has lectured extensively in the United States, Spain, Canada, Mexico, and China and some of the papers that he has authored have been translated into many languages and have been studied by doctors around the world. I LOVE HIM! He is a great guy and Dr. We chatted quite a bit and he was s informative and then the shots! A little strong but considering what he was doing, it wasn't childbirth LOL! His staff is great. I got along so well with his tech (she is really trained as a surgeon herself) and both she & the Dr, and I had so much on common as well. He is such a find.... was just going to email you! We have two more appointments, next Monday and the one after. Hopefully that will be it , if not we will see if I need a little more after a month for it to do it's work. He was just great.,,2 minutes & see ya next week. I was thrilled and he explained , in detail, what could happen the first few days but said it is a 50/50, but some people don't have any "going backward feeling, some do for a bit. " So far I have been feeling fine and have a lot of hope! Best thing I ever did and he will be in my cell phone, and every place else so I can always call. He even told me to call him on hos cell if I have any concerns...what Dr. does that??? My husband was impressed with him as well. Absolutely worth the research!! YEAY!!!!
