The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) is an international gathering that brings together leaders and visionaries to positively impact and shape the future of the global spa and wellness industries. This year the summit will take place in Mexico City, Mexico, at The St. Regis Mexico City on November 13-15, 2015.

Delegates

Efforts are being made to ensure that those attending the annual Global Wellness Summit are decision makers  and leaders from a variety of domains. All delegates have senior executive titles such as president, CEO, chairman, divisional SVP or owner,  or they have to be recognized as distinguished leaders in their fields.  Company size, number of employees, yearly sales and length of time in business are also taken into consideration. Special room is also allotted for educators, media, and those from the not-for-profit sector.

Format and Agenda

Each year, the GWS agenda includes high-profile speakers and addresses the timeliest issues, offering the vibrancy and relevancy that has become its trademark. When the program is developed, each candidate’s interests, expertise and areas of concern are taken into consideration, along with global events and industry trends, to create the final summit agenda.

Spirit of the Summit

The "spirit" of the Global Wellness Summit is one of shared purpose versus individual gain. It is an opportunity to put aside personal agendas  and competitive egos, and spend time joining together and shaping the future of the spa and wellness industries. The GWS has been modeled in part after the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, bringing together top-level decision makers from all over the world. All contribute time and resources to fund the summit, and all attendees are asked to refrain from self-promotion. The "Spirit of the Summit" is to debate , exchange ideas and strategize for the good of our industry, the consumers we serve, and the planet we share.

Format

A variety of interactive sessions are on the Summit agenda. They include small group breakout sessions, panel-led discussions, general sessions and hosted dining conversations. Efforts are made to ensure that all attendees participate at whatever level they choose: observer, contributor, questioner, panelist or table host.  Standard business attire is recommended for all summit sessions. Interpreters can be made available for groups upon request in the online registration questionnaire.
