Trends show more men getting cosmetic surgery as a youthful look can make them more competitive in today’s work markets. Doctors say winter is the best time for cosmetic surgery as we are inbound in our houses more than in the summer.

Getting cosmetic surgery has been placed in many New Year's resolutions of both men and women.

In an interview for KXAN studio on Saturday, Dr. Sanjay Sharma and Dr. Adam Weinfeld with Seton's Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery of Central Texas talked about the subject.

“If you get it now, recovery from plastic surgery can occur before the weather warms up and people return to socializing in casual attire.”

According to the doctors, most men get cosmetic procedures for the face in order to be able to compete in the job market. That is also the reason why most men focus on the face, the doctors said – Nose jobs, Facelift, Eyelid surgery and Liposuction.

Men usually request doctors a more youthful and energetic appearance, that can make them look happier.

The two doctors also recommended the surgeries to be performed in winter as January and February are less active months and recovery can take place without giving up to much on social activities.
