JAIPUR: Rajasthan governor Shivraj Patil asked the doctors to create more health awareness, especially oral hygiene in the society. Patil was speaking at the inauguration of the 64th All India Dental Conference at the Birla auditorium on Thursday.
The three-day conference is being attended by dentists from all over the country and abroad. He said oral hygiene is very essential for a healthy body and very often this is neglected by the people. "A doctor who teaches a thousand people is far better and helpful than a doctor who treats a hundred patients," he said.
He added that the day is not far when an independent university for this stream will be set up as dentistry is growing rapidly with the advancement of research and technology.
