Day 1 Admission & Stem Cell Collecting
Admission is in the morning, when informed consent for the procedure is taken from the patient.
Bone marrow aspiration takes place in the operating room of the hospital and it involves collecting stem cells from the soft center in the hip bone, under local anesthesia with no pain for the patient.
The bone marrow sample is sent to the lab for processing, isolation and culturing.
Day 2 to Day 6 Transplantation & Therapy
