Treatments & Prices
Stem cells are considered as the basic cells of the body having self renewal and differentiating capacity i.e. stem cells can give rise to more number of cells and can differentiate into different specialized cells.
Stem cells have been extensively used as a treatment modality for degenerative disorders like cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, ischemic encephalopathy, diabetes type II, Diabetic foot ulcer, peripheral arterial disease and many more.
Stem cell therapy has become a better option for those disorders for which there is no other option. As in case of Cerebral palsy, the patients have lost all the hope as there is no fruitful medication. Such patients have tried stem cell therapy and got considerable improvements.
Stem Cell Therapy not only involves the transplantation of the stem cells in the body of the patient but also to track the action of stem cells through various tests. For ex., in cases of neurodegenerative disorders, the MRI or PET scan is suggested by the clinician.
StemOne has an Ethics Committee (EC) constituted as per the guidelines of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) which will evaluate all our research projects and clinical applications. The EC of StemOne consists of a Chairman, Secretary, Lawyer, Clinician of various specialty, Social worker, Educationist, and Lay Person are represented as per the ICMR norms.
StemOne Biologicals Pvt. Ltd. is Maharashtra's first autologous cord blood bank, and a pioneer in cellular work in relation to cell based therapies. Stem cells are those miraculous entities that hold within them the answer to over 75 diseases and disorders. StemOne provides therapies for the following:
Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy refers to a neurological disorders that appear in infancy or early childhood and permanently affect body movement and muscle coordination but donÂ't worsen over time. It is caused by abnormalities in parts of the brain that control muscle movements. The majority of children with cerebral palsy are born with it, although it may not be detected until months or years later. The early signs of cerebral palsy usually appear before a child reaches 3 years of age. Cerebral palsy can’t be cured, but treatment will often improve a child's capabilities.
StemOne is proud to announce that we have completed almost 30 patients for cellular work of stem cell therapy for Cerebral Palsy. Out of which almost 80 % have shown very encouraging results just after their first shot and the rest have shown some improvements after their 2nd shot. Please refer our THERAPY UPDATES for our list of patient who have undergone CBT.
Autism
Autism is a brain development disorder characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. These signs all begin before a child is three years old. The autism spectrum disorders (ASD) also include the related conditions Asperger syndrome and PDD-NOS, which have fewer signs and symptoms
Cerebral Palsy with Mental Retardation
Mental retardation is a generalized disorder, characterized by subaverage cognitive functioning and deficits in two or more adaptive behaviors with onset before the age of 18. Once focused almost entirely on cognition, the definition now includes both a component relating to mental functioning and one relating to the individual's functional skills in their environment.
Stroke
A stroke is the rapidly developing loss of brain function(s) due to disturbance in the blood supply to the brain. This can be due to ischemia (lack of blood supply) caused by thrombosis or embolism or due to a hemorrhage. As a result, the affected area of the brain is unable to function, leading to inability to move one or more limbs on one side of the body, inability to understand or formulate speech or inability to see one side of the visual field
Spinal Cord Injury
Spinal cord injuries cause myelopathy or damage to white matter or myelinated fiber tracts that carry signals to and from the brain. It also damages gray matter in the central part of the spine, causing segmental losses of interneurons and motorneurons.
A Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) is typically defined as damage or trauma to the spinal cord that in turn results in a loss or impaired function resulting in reduced mobility or feeling.
Typical common causes of damage to the spinal cord, are trauma (car/motorcycle accident, gunshot, falls, sports injuries, etc), or disease (Transverse Myelitis, Polio, Spina Bifida, Friedreich's Ataxia, etc.). The resulting damage to the spinal cord is known as a lesion, and the paralysis is known as Quadriplegia or Quadraplegia / Tetraplegia if the injury is in the Cervical (neck) region, or as Paraplegia if the injury is in the Thoracic, Lumbar or Sacral region.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is a group of mechanical abnormalities involving degradation of joints, including articular cartilage and subchondral bone. Symptoms may include joint pain, tenderness, stiffness, locking, and sometimes an effusion. A variety of causes-hereditary, developmental, metabolic, and mechanical-may initiate processes leading to loss of cartilage. When bone surfaces become less well protected by cartilage, bone may be exposed and damaged. As a result of decreased movement secondary to pain, regional muscles may atrophy, and ligaments may become more lax.
Interstitial Lung Disease
Interstitial lung disease (ILD), also known as diffuse parenchymal lung disease (DPLD), refers to a group of lung diseases affecting the interstitium, the tissue and space around the air sacs of the lungs. Symptoms mainly include shortness of breath, cough and further weight loss, muscle, joint pain and fatigue are noted.
Motor Neuron Disease
The motor neuron disease (MND) is a group of neurological disorders that selectively affect motor neuron , the cells that control voluntary muscle activity including speaking, walking, breathing, swallowing and general movement of the body. Symptoms usually present themselves between the ages of 50-70, and include progressive weakness, muscle wasting, and muscle fasciculations, spasticity or stiffness in the arms and legs, and overactive tendon reflexes. Patients may present with symptoms as diverse as a dragging foot, unilateral muscle wasting in the hands, or slurred speech.
We also offer successful treatment for:
-
Diabetes Mellitus Type II
-
Kidney Disease, acute and chronic renal disease
-
Avascular Necrosis
-
Anti-Hair Loss
-
Anti-aging for wrinkle free face

Muscular Dystrophies
-
Parkinsonism
Procedure of Cell Based Therapy (Brief view)
Patient under inclusive criteria is admitted to the hospital and undergoes prerequisite tests to ascertain his present condition. Thereafter under GA/LA bone marrow is collected from the iliac crest in the container. This collected specimen is brought to our laboratory for the processing wherein the bone marrow mononuclear cells (BMMNCs) are isolated from the fluid. The processed sample is then back injected into patientÂ’s body, via the route decided by the clinician depending upon the type and severity of the disease or disorder. During the whole procedure required sterility and other precautionary measures are maintained.
The patient is then discharged from the hospital after the required formalities. Regular follow up test module is provided to the patient wherein after a brief time intervals patient have to undergo a post investigative test to ascertain the therapy related development and improvement. The entire data is collected and then is analyzed by the group (consisting of key investigators and other participating members like scientists, doctors, biostatisticians, data collectors and analyzers etc).
Treatment Methods
Intravenous Injection (IV)
This is a very simple process and familiar to most patients. A tubing line with a catheter tip threaded over a needle is placed into the patient's vein. Once proper placement is obtained, the needle portion is removed and the flexible plastic catheter is left in place in the vein with the tubing attached. The stem cell solution will be administered through the IV. Typically no sedation is required for this procedure. The entire IV injection process takes less than 30 minutes to complete.
Lumbar Puncture or Intrathecal Injection
In this procedure stem cell transplantation is done using hollow needle, which is inserted between two of the spinal bones (L4-L5) and into the spinal canal. This is a procedure to access the cerebrospinal fluid of the brain and spinal cord and helps to deliver stem cells directly into the cerebral spinal fluid, bypassing the blood-brain barrier. Our medical team has determined that this is the least invasive method for delivering stem cells directly into the central nervous system. Cerebrospinal Fluid is used to provide protection for the brain and spinal cord, limiting the possibility of injury to these areas. The body constantly produces CSF and thus any withdrawn fluid is naturally replaced within a few hours.
Local Injections
Local injections can be used to transplant tem cells in variety of conditions. These include spinal cord injuries, peripheral neuropathy, diabetic foot, autoimmune disorders and muscular dystrophy. For local injections, BMSC /WJMSC/PSC/ TSSC are transplanted by multiple injections directly into and around the injury site.
Intravascular Interventional Injection
Intravascular interventional injection can be applied to treat some cerebrovascular, cardiovascular diseases, peripheral vascular diseases, Liver diseases, kidney diseases and pancreatic diseases. Stem cells will be directly transplanted into the damaged areas.

Nanog India has an exclusive agreement with Stemone for the storage of umblicial cord blood in its new laboratory. Our representatives will be happy to take interested clients on a tour of the facility.
How is the collection done?
Collecting cord blood is a safe and painless procedure that usually takes few minutes. Cord blood is collected immediately after your baby is born and after the umbilical cord has been clamped and cut. The collection procedure is therefore completely safe for both the mother and baby and can be performed after vaginal or cesarean births.
Cord Blood Banking - Advantages
Building Blocks:
Cord blood stem cells are the key building blocks of the blood and the immune system which are present in higher concentration in umbilical cord blood. Research has demonstrated that cord blood stem cells can differentiate into other types of cells in the body. The regenerative qualities of stem cells have been brought to the forefront in the field of cellular repair.
Harmless:
It is the easiest, simplest and the most effortless way of collection of stem cells. There is no harm to either baby or mother at the time of collection of cord blood as it is carried out after the separation of baby from the umbilical cord.
Safe:
Umbilical cord blood stem cells are the most flexible & safely available stem cells, and they are the product of a new life. Freezing these cells essentially puts the cells in a dormant stage and therefore prevents aging and damage that may occur to the cells later in life. Also, the chances of infection are nil and hence they can safely be used for therapeutic purpose for the baby without undergoing any preliminary test.
Immediate Availability:
Banking cord blood ensures that these stem cells can be immediately available if they are needed for treatment for your baby. Early treatment of many illnesses can minimize disease progression.
Easily used by anyone/ family members:
Cord blood immune cells can be successfully used even when there is only a half-match. This means there is more opportunity for transplants between family members when cord blood is stored. Some studies have shown that overall survival rates for related transplants are more than double of that of transplants from unrelated donors. Cord blood can be transplanted even if there is only a partial match between donor and recipient.
Treating Various Diseases:
The ability of cord blood stem cells to differentiate, or change into other types of cells in the body is a new discovery that holds significant promise for improving the treatment of some of the most common diseases such as heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer's, diabetes, liver disease, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injury and stroke.
Less Graft Vs Host Disease:
It is ready-to-use, as it is stored frozen after collecting and testing. The recipient faces lower risks of complications by cord blood transplant. The immune cells present in cord blood are less likely to attack the tissue of patient i.e. graft vs. host disease.
Non Controversial:
Unlike foetal and embryonic stem cells, umbilical cord blood cells do not have the same controversy swirling around them. Stem cells from the umbilical cord can be ethically collected and stored without any threat to you or your baby. Yet, these stem cells have almost as much ability to develop into other cells as do embryonic and foetal stem cells.
