Dental Implant

Inlay & Onlay
Similar to fillings, inlays and onlays fill cavities and other areas of trauma or decay in the teeth. Inlays fit into a cavity while onlays lay on top of the tooth to build up a damaged cusp. They are also called indirect fillings.
Tooth whitening - Bleaching
Teeth whitening is the most commonly requested cosmetic dentistry procedure. It’s designed to enhance your appearance by reducing tooth discoloration and staining to elicit a brighter, whiter smile.Red wine, soda, coffee and tea, among other food and drink, contribute to the discoloration of teeth over time. After suffering from gum disease and bone loss and wearing a partial denture for a few years I was told by my dentist I would have to have all my teeth extracted and have full dentures.(I am only 49 years of age) After doing some research and having one-to-one consultations in Las vegas and England. 'Friendly' Turkey adds to medical tourism boom
Many countries have been developing their own medical tourism industry to order to cash in on the increasing demand for treatment abroad.
Turkey is no exception, and the country believes that it has more to offer than its internationally-acclaimed cosmetic surgeons and standards of care.
Professor Oguz Cetinkale, president of the nation's Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (EPCD), said that prices for cosmetic surgery are cheaper in Turkey than abroad, but that that is not the only attraction.
"It is not only that, but the fact that Turkey is a Mediterranean country also plays a role," he told local newspaper Altinkum Voices.
"It is also the attentiveness toward the patients that make them happy. Of course, all surgeons are attentive toward their patients, but because we are a Mediterranean country, we tend to be friendlier," the professor claimed.
In addition to the comforting nature of its healthcare, Turkey also benefits from the numerous historic attractions which tourists can visit while they recuperate, as well as some picturesque and highly relaxing beaches.
Dental tourism causing Irish dentists to grit their teeth
Irish dentists will have to deal with the new reality that is increasing numbers of people travelling abroad for dental treatments. Driven by savings of up to € 500 per crown and up to € 2,200 per implant, we're happy to pack up our worries about aftercare in an old kit bag to get a smile, smile, smile.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, our preferred destinations include those in which we bought up thousands of properties during the boom - Hungary, Poland, Turkey, Bulgaria and Spain. Reports of sub-standard materials, poor sterilisation techniques and the lack of aftercare however mean that you really need to do your research before you select a practice. Dental tourism is on the increase with Irish clients making up at least 4% of wandering patients worldwide.
Up to 80% of Tour Medical's clients are from Ireland and the UK. A dental practice based in Kudsadasi, Turkey, they collect their clients from the airport when they arrive, transport them, free of charge, to and from their hotel. The hotel itself is organised by Tour Medical. They will even pay for it, if you're travelling during off-peak season!
Consultation with your cosmetic dentist or surgeon is free. Panoramic x-rays are free, temporary crowns, where required, are free. Crowns range from € 175 for porcelain and € 250 for zirconium to € 270 for Luminate laminate veneers, apparently the most conservative form of cosmetic dentistry. By contrast, a zirconium crown in Ireland would cost around € 700. Materials are similar to those used in Ireland and are of European standard at least.
The person telling me all this is Majella Ivers from Mayo. Tour Medical's co-ordinator for UK and Irish patients, four years ago she travelled to Kusadasi for treatment herself. So impressed was she by Tour Medical, Majella ended up working for them.

Kusadasi
Once a little fishing port, kusadasi - Meaning bird island in Turkish - has developed into one of Turkey's busiest and most anglicised resorts. The genovese fort on the island which gave the town its name.
The port from Kusadasi welcomes luxury cruise liners every day, which bring passengers keen to sample the town's extensive facilities and visit the archaeological sites nearby. The most famous is the beautifully preserved roman city of Ephesus. Other historical places are "House of Virgin Mary", "Tempel of Artemis" , "Seven Sleepers' and "Didyma".
Numerous powdery sandy beaches with warm&clear waters, providing a peaceful atmosphere, allow a great variety of water and beach facilities. Windsurfing, water skiing, sailing and beach volley are only a few choice for the lovers of active life. After sunbathing restfully during the day, the city awaits the superb sunset.
