Browlift
The brow lift surgery, also known as forehead lift or brow lift, can give the patient a more youthful, refreshed look to smooth the forehead, reducing frown lines and raise the position of the eyebrow line. The browlift / forehead lift requires a relatively short recovery time and patients usually experience minimal discomfort. Learn more about the different types of surgery browlift / forehead (as the endoscopic brow lift less invasive), the cost of a brow lift, the benefits and possible risks and complications of the procedure.
Candidates for a browlift / forehead
The best candidates for a browlift / forehead lift are healthy adults who have a positive body image. The browlift / forehead lift can smooth fine lines and creases, forehead lift, reposition the eyebrow line and lift and remove excess forehead skin has lost elasticity with age. The browlift / forehead will look much younger, but not radically change their appearance.
Eyelids
The Eyelid surgery (technically called blepharoplasty) is a procedure to remove fat - usually along with excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper eyelids and bags under the eyes - features that make you look older and more tired than you feel, and may even interfere with your vision. However, it will not remove crow's feet or other wrinkles, eliminate dark circles under the eyes or lift sagging eyebrows. While you can add an upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes, it will not erase evidence of your ethnic or racial heritage. Blepharoplasty can be done alone or in combination with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift or browlift.
Understanding the procedure
Blepharoplasty usually takes one to three hours, depending on the extent of surgery. If you have all four eyelids, the surgeon will probably work on the upper lids first, then lower. In a typical procedure, Dr. Cardenas makes incisions following the natural lines of the eyelids and the creases of upper lids and just below the lashes in the lower eyelids. The incisions may extend into the crow's feet or lines on the outer corners of her eyes. Through these incisions, Dr. Cardenas separates the skin from the fat tissue and muscle, removes excess fat and often trims sagging skin and muscle. The incisions are closed with very fine sutures. If you have a pocket of fat beneath your lower eyelids but do not need to remove the skin, the surgeon may perform a transconjunctival blepharoplasty. In this procedure the incision is made inside the lower eyelid, leaving no visible scar. It is usually performed on younger patients with thicker skin, or elastic.
Are you a good candidate?
Blepharoplasty can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but not necessarily change your looks to match your ideal or cause other people to treat you differently. Before deciding to have surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with Dr. Cardenas.
The best candidates for eyelid surgery are men and women who are physically healthy, psychologically stable and realistic in their expectations. Most are 35 years or more, but if you fall, the baggy eyelids in your family, you may decide to have eyelid surgery at a younger age. There are certain medical conditions that can make blepharoplasty more risky. These include thyroid problems such as hypothyroidism and Graves' disease, dry eye or lack of sufficient tears, high blood pressure or other circulatory disorders, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. A detached retina or glaucoma is also reason for caution, check with your ophthalmologist before surgery.
Preparation / Anesthesia
Based on a review of the patient's medical history may be necessary for the doctor to perform additional blood tests and an electrocardiogram before continuing with the procedure. The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia by an anesthesiologist, however, in some cases can be performed under local anesthesia or twilight.
Incisions
Usually the incisions are made following the natural lines of your eyelids, and in the creases of the upper eyelids and just below the lashes in the lower eyelids. The incisions may extend into the crow's feet or lines on the outer corners of her eyes
Risk
The minor complications that occasionally follow blepharoplasty include double or blurred vision for a few days, temporary swelling at the corner of the eyelids, and a slight asymmetry in healing or scarring. Small white spots may appear after stitches are removed, your surgeon's easily removed with a fine needle.
Care Postoperative
Keep your head elevated for several days and use cold compresses to reduce swelling and bruising. (Coagulation varies from person to person: it reaches its peak during the first week and usually lasts two weeks to a month.) It will show you how to clean your eyes, which can be a bit sticky for a week normally. Use eye drops, because the eyes may feel dry at first and your eyes burn or itch. For the first few weeks may also experience excessive tearing, sensitivity to light, and temporary changes in your vision, including blurred or double vision.
Recovery
You should be able to read or watch television after two or three days. However, you may not use contact lenses for about two weeks, and even then it might cause some discomfort for a while. Most people feel ready to go out in public (and back to work) in a week to 10 days
What is it?
The surgical procedure used to lift the eyelids when they are fallen and obstruct vision or give the appearance of chronic fatigue and sleep. Regular access to the correction of upper eyelid ptosis is usually the transcutaneous access or earlier. This offers the advantage of being able to correct excess skin and orbicularis muscle at the same time. It also allows wider exposure of the septum, orbital fat and medial and lateral extension of the fascia. Why then need a transconjunctival or after the aponeurosis when we fix everything with the anterior approach? The rear access has the advantage of being more direct, to cause less trauma and to facilitate adjustment. It is especially useful when we have to correct the skin or orbicularis muscle as in cases which have had a blepharoplasty or cases without alteration of the anterior lamella.
And as is done
Depending on the degree of eyelid drop deciding whether surgery is performed without scarring internally or externally through the skin. The surgery takes about an hour.
Ptosis, sulcus and Upper Blepharoplasty
A minimal and inadvertent ptosis only an inch can cause a fairly asymmetric after blepharoplasty. To uncover the groove lid blepharoplasty. The groove is where pretarsal surface at an angle to the surface preseptal The position of this angle depends first of the open eyelid position in relation to the eyeball (distance eyelid margin-corneal reflex), second position of the eyebrow ( distance brow furrow) and third tissue such as skin, muscle and fat that fills this angle resection of tissue as is done in a blepharoplasty sets the angle of the groove. A minimal ptosis not noticed much by the small distacejasnce between the center corneal and lid margin, but much more by the elevation of the groove (the increase in distance between the eyelid margin and sulcus). In many cases induces a small ptosis ipsilateral elevation of eyebrow elevation multiplies the groove. There are cases in which a small ptosis of a millimeter groove causes an elevation of five millimeters. In these cases it is the causative factor selectively correct the ptosis. As access is offered the most direct route, the transconjunctival.
Otoplasty
If you think you need an Otoplasty .....
Otoplasty is called surgical intervention is often used to correct the prominence or dissection of the ears, so these are placed in a more natural position and size with respect to the head. Although the most common problem that affects the ears is the detachment or prominence, other types of deformities can also be corrected by surgery, can reduce the size of the ears, you can change the shape and size of the lobes, is ears can be corrected by the glass or satyr. Even, you can create a new ear when it does not exist or has disappeared as a result of accidents.
When appropriate an Otoplasty.
Whenever the patient is unhappy with the shape, size or arrangement of their ears, and there is a real anomaly, this operation would be indicated. Due to the importance that these anomalies have on children, states that they can be operated from four to six years of age (from four to six years the development of the ears is almost complete) to avoid trauma. Only in newborns can be made an attempt to correct ears without surgery.
Risks and uncertainties.
An Otoplasty is a safe procedure with high success rates whenever it is performed by surgeons who know and master these techniques. However, like any surgery, otoplasty is not without potential complications, although rare, you should know. An infection or a hematoma may require additional surgery. Although rare, the "memory" which, naturally, it behaves any cartilage, the ears can be separated again a few millimeters to need a little retouching. The abnormal scarring in the skin and around the cartilage is extremely rare.
Cómo se realiza una Otoplastia.
As important as the operation itself is the preoperative visit. If a child is establish your needs, nature and degree of motivation. If we earn your trust collaboration during the treatment the better. The operation is usually performed under local anesthesia and sedation (patient is sleepy) and requires no hospitalization. Takes about an hour and a half depending on the deformity present and the surgical technique employed. The technique employed is communicated to parents before the operation. Normally the operation is performed on both ears, but only one is the truly affected, since there was more symmetrical and better result. Only in rare circumstances it operates only one ear. In a prototype case of prominent ears is incised into the groove that lies behind the ear cartilage is sculpted beneath the skin to shape that does not have and, if necessary, there are some points to keep this form. The wound is closed leaving a scar right in the crease behind the ear there. The others remain hidden, this scarring is usually good and go unnoticed over the months. When it comes to reducing the size of the ear the incision is in the fold of the helix. From here is calculated and removes excess cartilage shaping the new top of the ear.
Postoperative.
After surgery the patient may leave the hospital if you are in good condition. For a few days take a bandage that provides protection and facilitates the modeling of the ears. If the correction has been minimal, it may not take dressing. During the first two or three days may have discomfort or pain, usually controllable with medication that is recommended. First week after the sutures were removed to be removable. It may sometimes take a tape player for a long type variable. Should be considered as normal that the ears are swollen and slightly bruised. Provided that there will be no accidental impact, the child may return to school after the first week. Any activity that can "bend" the ears should be avoided for a month or month and a half. Due to the nature "asymmetrically" to our body, is both impossible and unnatural to achieve perfect symmetry in the two ears. Think of the result sought by this operation is to achieve a natural look together, not a symmetry "math." Understanding this concept will appreciate and enjoy much better end result.
Increased fat infiltration
For Patients who wish to have full lips but refuse to inject foreign material into your body, increasing the size of the lips with fat transfer is a excelentesolución. While other lip fillers like collagen, usually from animal tissue or a human donor, increasing the size of your lips with fat transfer uses your own body tissue, giving the lips a soft and natural.
What is increasing the size of the lips with fat transfer?
Increasing the size of your lips with fat transfer involves removing fat from one area of the body and injected into the lips. During the fat transfer, only used natural body tissue, so rarely is a rejection or an allergic reaction. After the procedure, the results obtained by patients are lips soft and natural to the touch, which last from six months to more than a year.
The fat transfer procedure
In the process of enlargement of the lips with fat transfer, fat is first removed from a patient's body part (usually the abdomen or thighs) by liposuction. This will not produce a noticeable effect on the extraction area unless the increase in the size of the lips is carried out in combination with a liposuction procedure body. Fat is then injected in lips with a syringe and a blunt needle. The injections only leave small puncture marks, approximately 0.2 cm in diameter. The process of enlargement of the lips with fat transfer is usually performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia quietly as patient preference and surgeon.
Shortened upper lip
An option to shorten a long upper lip with lip lift. With this technique, the skin is taken up under the very nose and skin of the upper lip is shortened and the remaining skin is pulled upwards. This will leave a residual scar thin line along dela base of the nose and lip only have more volume central or pout. Always a little further correction, as there will be some relaxation (mild re-lengthening) of the upper lip epilogues.
While this is a simple procedure, complications have been reported there. A complication seems to come from sew orbicularis oris muscle and the skin, presumably for a better long-term stability. However, this move creates a stiff upper lip ydeformidad artificial as the orbicularis is rather limited to act as its natural sphincter. It's much better to run the negligible risk to secondary surgery procedure in place if there had been any relapse. Abnormal scars have been reported. This seems to come from an effort to hide the scars on the inside of the nostrils. This sounds theoretically beneficial, but which causes a distortion of the floor of the nasal cavity and enlargement of the opening of the nostrils. Secundariocorrección of the nasal cavity is difficult. This is not a good tradeoff, since subnasal scars usually heal pretty well.
Changes in the shape of the nostril can be caused by being pulled down the removal of the skin too (an extra few millimeters is all that is needed) below the nostril. This is why the opening is wavy or megaphone as the largest number among philtrums taken centrally. Since the skin can not be replaced, the secondary correction can be attempted by unmodificación alar wedge art interior. Lifts the upper lip can be a very satisfactory procedure, but it is important not to take too much skin or make modifications to the procedure that interfere with the window sill of the natural nose. In my practice of plastic surgery in Indianapolis, I take a central 4 -5 mm of skin removal whose pattern is close to the lateral alar rim. This approach yields results consistent with a negligible risk of the complications mentioned.
Decrease the size of the lip.
Many people have lips (face) very thick and large, it can become annoying. With local anesthesia have surgery that involves reducing the size and thickness giving a more pleasing appearance to the patient.
Cheek augmentation
Cheek implants give more body and improve the contour of the cheeks poorly defined. People with a weak cheek structure, a narrow face or flat, or have lost the cheek contour because of age can benefit from cosmetic improvement offered cheek augmentation surgery. The simplicity of the surgery and the relatively low cost of implants make it a particularly attractive cosmetic solution.
What are cheek implants?
Cheek implants have been used since 1956 and have a proven record of providing effective and safe aesthetic improvement. They are built with various synthetic materials whose stiffness varies quite rigid to flexible. Cheek implants come in various shapes and sizes and most can be adapted to a particular facial structure. Some cheek implants, including silicone, do not integrate with the tissue and can be easily removed later. Other cheek implants such as hydroxyapatite, are integrated into the natural bone and become part of the structure of the cheekbones.
Cheek Augmentation Surgery
When cheek implants are placed when there is another facial plastic surgery procedure like a facelift, a brow lift / brow lift, rhinoplasty or eyelid repair, implants can be inserted through incisions made for such interventions. When not performing the implant in combination with other treatments, plastic surgery, cheek implants are placed alone through small incisions in the mouth or lower eyelid. The implants are placed in small pouches that form the surgeon in the cheek tissue. The incision is sutured with stitches are removed around 10 days or dissolved in approximately the same period if placed in the mouth.
Fat Infiltration
The increase in the cheekbones can be made using solid silicone implants, the placement of which leaves no visible scars and are placed via endobucal. Another option is to do the same through the blepharoplasty incision, if made in the same operation. It can also be done by lipoinyección, ie by the infiltration of fat extracted by liposuction, the patient herself and treated to separate the adipocytes. There are also some synthetic fillers that may be useful in some cases.
Bichat fat pad removal
Strange you hear the fat pads of Bichat Bichat or balls in those patients in whom there is this excess tissue, it is possible to remove the excess volume of these exchanges, improving this way of making an elongated face, slender and simulating the projection of facial bone structures, thereby giving a more harmonious and attractive. We note the importance of preoperative clinical assessment, as some patients are candidates for plastic surgery for the removal of fat pockets or bichatectomía Bichat, who have some depression or facial asymmetry in this anatomical area, these bags can be used as filler be an extraction or asymmetric (i.e. the side if the other side done and not done), thus giving a symmetrical appearance and attractive face.
To perform plastic surgery removal of the fat pad of Bichat or bichatectomía can be done with local anesthesia, sedation or general anesthesia, especially if procedures are performed aggregates. The technique of plastic surgery for the removal of fat pads of Bichat or bichatectomía, takes place inside the cheeks, at the second molars, having a fairly rapid recovery and can resume their activities, as scars are hidden inside the mouth, however, if a combined surgery recovery time will depend on the type and number of surgeries performed.
Usually the plastic surgery of the removal of fat pads of Bichat or bichatectomía, is performed simultaneously with other procedures to improve facial structure making a more attractive appearance, such as: plastic surgery of the nose or rhinoplasty, liposuction, neck placement of cheek implants (or malar), or mandibular angle and can be placed with intraoral or extraoral approaches, as appropriate. The risks and complications of plastic surgery of the removal of fat pads of Bichat or bichatectomía, though rare include: hematoma, infection, injury to the duct, but for all these possible complications is preoperative preparation and postoperative management must undertaken to avoid them.
Implant Placement
Submuscular breast implant placement
In the submuscular breast augmentation or subpectoral, the implant is placed behind the pectoral muscle. Because the muscle is only attached to the chest wall at the edge, there is a space under the muscle where the breast implant can be placed. In most cases, the pectoral muscle to cover about two-thirds of breast implant. When the muscle does not completely cover the implant, we speak of a partial submuscular breast augmentation. Complete submuscular breast augmentation, or total, is achieved by using other muscles of the chest wall to cover the remaining third breast implant. You can achieve a complete submuscular placement of breast implants through incisions transaxilares, areolar incisions or inframammary incisions.
Advantages of submuscular placement
Unlike what happens in the sub glandular breast augmentation in which breast implant is placed in front of the muscle, after complete submuscular breast augmentation, the implant is completely covered by muscle and breast tissue. This helps to hide the edges and ripples of the implant and thus creates a more natural breasts and a more natural feel to the touch after surgery. Submuscular placement of breast implants seems to generate more favorable results than subglandular increased in women with smaller breasts. The location of the implant under the pectoral muscle breast augmentation can reduce the fear of breast enhancement surgery hinders breast cancer detection. Although the possibility exists that any breast implant hide some breast tissue during mammography, clinical studies have shown that submuscular placement does not interfere with mammography exams.
Submuscular breast augmentation also carries a lower risk of capsular contracture, ie that stress on the scar tissue and squeeze the breast implant. Capsular contracture can distort the appearance of the breast and create an unnatural strength, which can be painful. Submuscular placement of breast implant decreases the likelihood of downward displacement of the implant, which is a complication of breast augmentation where the implant ends located too low on the chest wall and, therefore, the nipples are too high in the breast.
Preparation / anesthesia Based on a review of the patient's medical history may be necessary for the doctor to perform additional blood tests and an electrocardiogram before continuing with the procedure. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia by an anesthesiologist.

Breast lift without implants
Mastopexy is designed to raise breast trying to leave it in its "original." Lactations, glandular atrophy, the ups and downs of weight, menopause with the deterioration in the quality of the skin are all factors that contribute to progressive ptosis (drooping) of the breast. Mastopexy can be done with or without the use of silicone implants. This decision will depend partly on what the patient wants and more importantly the findings of physical examination. In this surgery is often necessary to scarring around the areola, vertical and horizontal times to remove excess skin and breast reset a better way.
Breast lift and implant placement
One of the main reasons why breast augmentation procedures performed in combination with the breast lift is that breast augmentation alone can not correct sagging breasts or stretched. Simply increasing the volume or size of breasts they will only fall further with the passage of time. When performed as a single procedure, breast augmentation can increase or match the size of breasts, restore the volume and restore the breast shape after a total or partial loss. By contrast, during a breast lift procedure, it removes excess loose skin and tightens the remaining skin. Thus improving the overall shape of the breasts and they rise to a new position more upright. Breast implants in combination with a breast lift as a result bring total rejuvenation, not only increase breast size, but also restore a firmer more vital.
Increased technical and Breast Lift
As you must know, there are three general techniques of incision used for breast augmentation, known as areolar, inframammary and transaxillary. In addition, a variety of different incision techniques for breast lift, used to correct varying degrees of breast ptosis. These techniques include the periareolar technique, circumareolar, vertical and anchor, and are used to treat breast ptosis increase respectively. The doctor will help determine the best cut for you according to your preferences, anatomy, position of implants and surgical technique preferred professional. To learn more about the different techniques, see the animations on breast implants and breast lift.
Breast Reduction
Breast reduction (reductive mammaplasty) is the removal operation through a set of cosmetic surgery in a number of mammary glands, reaching a more suitable to the aesthetics. The operation of breast reduction (reductive mammaplasty) provides' the remodeling of the glandular component and repositioning the areola - the nipple. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and usually involves a night in the hospital the day after patients leave with a moderate compression bandage, which must be left post for a few days. His work and social activities can be resumed after a short time, taking care to avoid lifting weights for about two to three weeks.
What is breast reduction? (Reductive mammaplasty)
For reductive mammoplasty means a breast reduction to be used on an plastic surgery, which aims to reduce the mammary glands too bulky and often overweight. These characteristics also lead to psychological distress and aesthetic, often cause various aches and pains due to the disproportion between body mass and breast, such as pain in the neck, shoulders and back.
What is the purpose of reductive mammaplasty?
Purpose of the intervention is to reduce the mammary glands, while eliminating the disturbances related to the weight of the breast breast too.
Gynecomastia correction Cut and liposuction
Gynecomastia affects approximately 40 to 60 percent of men. Gynecomastia defines a condition that causes enlargement of the mammary glands in men. Even though some medicines and medical problems are related to the development of breasts in men, the majority of cases have no known cause.
Surgery: For adult men the only treatment is surgical. This is a simple action as a day surgery with local anesthesia or as decided by the plastic surgeon and the patient. This does not require a hospital stay.
The operation begins with liposuction, which reduces fat tissue and correcting the contours, and then through a 1-2 cm incision allowed removal of the mammary gland and fat. Some patients do not require liposuction thin but they only realizzativa breast tissue removal. For patients who require it, the skin is tightened and excess skin is removed. The operation takes 20-60 minutes. This does not require a hospital stay. The bruises, areas of swelling, pain and sedation in the operating area are the complaints of almost all patients in the postoperative period. A large proportion of these complaints can be controlled with medication. The patient can turn to their daily lives within 1-2 days. Moms can not be extended again after the operation. The removal of breast tissue has no damage or side effects. On the contrary, it prevents the formation of breast cancer, which can be seen in men and also developed more malignant cases of breast cancer in women.
Subcutaneous mastectomy
Breast cancer presents the first in incidence rate in women, so it should always be carried out to an early diagnosis allows for a less aggressive treatment. This has evolved dramatically becoming the best results in terms of survival, so that the reconstruction is becoming more of a necessity and a challenge for plastic surgery.
Mastectomía: Tipos
-
Lumpectomy: removal of the tumor
-
Quadrantectomy: resection of the breast quadrant where the tumor
-
Subcutaneous mastectomy: removal of the gland
-
Mastectomy simple: resection of the prostate and skin around the areola, is called also modified radical mastectomy.
-
Radical mastectomy is also withdrawn the pectoral muscle.
The treatment of breast disease sequelae which are, in summary:
-
No gland, dystrophy, atrophy.
-
Loss of skin, areola and nipple removed, extensive scar transverse, oblique or vertical.
-
Depression armpit level resulting from the removal of pectoral muscle, skin sticks to the ribs.
-
Lymphedema of the arm for axillary dissection.
-
Radiation dermatitis, skin necrosis due to radiotherapy
Methods of breast reconstruction
Breast reconstruction aims to create a new volume, and if necessary, areola, nipple or correct the depression in the armpit.
-
Methods of breast reconstruction:
1. Prosthesis
2. Expansion + prosthesis
3. Local tissues: abdominal stretch upward, contralateral (opposite)
4. Musculo-cutaneous flap: rectus abdominis or latissimus dorsi
-
Methods of reconstruction of the areola:
1. Contralateral
2. Inner thigh
3. Tattoo
-
Nipple reconstruction methods:
1. Lifting the skin of the areola, local flap
2. Dermal graft, lip mucosa over the vulva.
Neck Liposuction
The goal of this surgery is the refinement of the contour of the lower face and neck by removing fat deposits under the chin and submental region, it helps raise the profile and mark the outline of the jaw giving a more juvenile to the rest of the face. It is done through a small incision in the skin under the chin, infiltrates a saline solution with anesthetic and adrenaline. It sucks and removes the fat with special cannulas of small diameter.
cuelloThis procedure is performed under local anesthesia and usually lasts 15 to 30 minutes. If it is necessary sometimes advisable to place a chin implant advantage of the incision, it significantly improves the results of the profile. It can also be combined with any other procedure requiring general anesthesia and Face-lift Rinoplstía. After the surgery, face bandaged for 24 hours. There may be a bit of discomfort and trouble swallowing, for which conventional analgesics are indicated. Recovery is rapid, there may be slight swelling and temporary bruising.
Liposuction alone
Liposuction is the art and science of aesthetic plastic surgery to sculpt new and beautiful contours, finally eliminating localized fat deposits. Although we try to reduce weight through diet and exercise, the real goal is to improve body contour. We can even lose grams each day, but we want to improve the appearance relative and not absolute weight. For many people, liposuction in addition to reaching the desired initial shape also provides extra psychological boost to maximize results. For example, a person who has four kilos of fat removed during liposuction, then, is motivated to lose six kilos more through diet and exercise.
Understanding the fat cells
The excess calories are converted to fat that accumulates in specific cells, called fat cells. With weight loss, fat cells can be emptied almost completely, but do not disappear. They remain in the body as empty bags, eager to be recharged again. The amount and location of fat cells in our bodies are genetically determined at birth. The lifetime, the number of fat cells in the body remains the same. They are unable to reproduce, except in cases of extreme obesity.
Why is liposuction permanent?
Once fat cells are formed, it is very difficult to remove under normal circumstances. If they were removed through liposuction, they do not come back to regenerate. Suppose you do a liposuction and reach the desired contour, but then gain weight. If you lose this weight again, you will have the same appearance as when she made her liposuction. Liposuction does not prevent future weight gain. Excess fat will be deposited in the remaining fat cells evenly distributed throughout the body.
Liposculpture
Liposuction is the most modern European aesthetic technique. This method was invented in Italy during the 70's by a gynecologist and subsequently used in France by a plastic surgeon. Since 1980 it spread to other countries, where it was seen as the ideal resource to end obesity. Called "no-scalpel surgery, no plastic surgery, but the body shapes while eliminating the volumes of oil than disfiguring. This technique is the ideal alternative, which eliminates the problems of traditional liposuction. Liposuction is indicated for people who have a weight apparently "normal", not eliminate small pockets of fat, or with exercise, or with severe diets and slaughtered. We see that in old age, overweight and even obesity are not obstacles to use, successfully, to Liposuction.
How does it work?
It is a medical instrument that is done in a proper room, which has aseptic conditions, security and sufficient resources to handle any possible situation. It uses local anesthesia, by infiltration of anesthetic serum Adrenalize at low temperatures, which also have a greater analgesic effect, minimizes the possibility of minor bleeding and therefore less chance of bruising and a better extraction of adipose tissue the desired location. Before intervention should be marked the areas to be treated with greater emphasis noting those in which most fat removed. Then injected a serum to soften the fat tissue (where fat accumulates) and anesthesia, which may be local or general. With liposculpture specialist proceeds to extract the fat in the desired proportion and appropriate to avoid accumulations affecting figure. But may also increase the proportions of some parts of the body, hence this revolutionary technique.
Features and Benefits Key features and benefits of Liposuction are:
-
An advanced technique of surgery without a scalpel, no injuries.
-
Technique sophisticated models the specific body part in a "craft" as sculpting (hence its name: Liposculpture).
-
Use local anesthesia, supplemented with cold, in the areas to be treated.
-
Has a very short postoperative period and hassle free.
-
It is practiced in specific areas according to individual needs
Buttock Implants
The butt implants or Glutealplasty gives patients a chance to get a nicer shape and fullness in his buttocks. Although buttocks can also be increased by fat grafts, implants offer a solution that is often more durable body and the patient over time. Because the body's ability to absorb the injected fat, implants give the patient a more consistent and reliable when compared to fat gain. The procedure involves the surgical placement of implants cohesive silicone gel with varying locations incision in the buttock region.
Preparation / anesthesia
Based on a review of the patient's medical history may be necessary for the doctor to perform additional blood tests and an electrocardiogram before continuing with the procedure. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia by an anesthesiologist.
Molded with fat infiltration in the buttocks and hips
To achieve the increase in this area we have 2 ways to secure medically.
Fat infiltration
Silicone Prosthesis
a) It can infiltrate fat when (the) patient accumulation in the abdomen and / or other body parts is carried out simultaneously when performing liposuction mold making area with better projection and volume of surgery takes approximately 2 to 3 hours anesthesia local, sedation or general.
b) If (the) patient does not have good places to get fat goes to the gluteal prostheses, which are placed by a scar that runs between the buttocks (in row) to make it less noticeable as possible.
At present it looks as natural as possible and not before it got an undesirable result of "cushions on the tail."
Escuchar
Facial Feminization
Uprising Eyebrow
The up Take eyebrow or facial rejuvenation in the upper face, offers an amazing potential to enhance their appearance. Among the features that can be improved are the horizontal forehead lines, frown deep folds, and sagging eyebrows.
What are eyebrows and how are they treated?
As we age, our skin loses elasticity causing eyebrows tilt. Sometimes the outer brows crashes, resulting in a sad expression. In other cases, the central part crashes, pretending anger. Many people have the misconception that these symptoms require up Take eyelid, as the slope of the front can cause skin layers are made in the upper eyelid. But the solution is actually a brow lift.
Hair line feed with or without brow lift
"It raises the hairline brow lift?
Somehow. For example, if your eyebrows need to be higher, there is a slight elevation of the hairline. If repositioning is not necessary, or just needs fixing the lateral brow fall, changing the hairline is usually imperceptible.
What if my hair line is already very high?
If a patient has a hairline too high or a very broad front, along with the elevation of the eyebrows can make a reduction of the forehead. Move forward scalp surgery lower the hairline.
What does a female face?
The front is one of the facial features more clearly indicate whether a person is male or female, in part because it occupies a large area inside the face, and partly because men are markedly different fronts of the female, although most people do not take into account.
The women's fronts are perceived as pleasant and smooth are more partners than male ones. Usually 229x153-forehead-contouring present round and profile views, often draw a vertical line. The male fronts, however, often draw profile views of an oblique line because the bottom is bulging projecting forward over the eyes. This lump is solid where it forms the orbital rims, but hollow in the middle of the nose where the sinuses. The height and shape of the eyebrows also differs between men and women. Male eyebrows are usually straight and low, while women are more curved and are higher with respect to the eye, usually above the orbital rim orbital rim * *. Hairline, meanwhile, often take the form of M in men, due to the typical "inputs", while women tend to draw a continuous arc and be closer to the eyebrows.
Facial liposculpture
Lipoinjection in some areas of the face to add volume, especially in key areas such as cheekbones, brow lines, angles of the jaw and chin.
Cheek Implant Surgery or Cheeks
Among the techniques of facial implants there is a surgical procedure that pomulosmanages to increase the size of the cheekbones to define them and make them more prominent and harmonics in the face. This procedure is known as Cheek Implant. It is also possible to reduce the size of the cheek if necessary.
Pronounced cheekbones highlighted other features of the face, nose, mouth, eyes and give support to the soft tissues of the face by preventing sagging.
Get the look harmonic and proportional to your face!

Mainly compensates for the lack of volume of harmonizing and defining cheekbones facial features, both women and men. With cheek implants in women achieving a dramatic effect because projected to be defined and accomplishes two typical characteristics of female beauty.
If this surgery is combined with Rhinoplasty is possible to bring the volume ratio between the nose and cheekbones. Cheek implant with the patient's face looks much more harmonious and proportionate. The change is permanent and makes the patient feel and will look much better.
FAT INFILTRATION TECHNIQUE
The FAT INFILTRATION TECHNIQUE is relatively simple: fat is removed by a miniliposucción, fat is centrifuged to remove impurities and then injected into areas where needed with various techniques as required at the time.
An important issue to consider is the VERSATILITY of the FAT grafts being studied that may have a regenerative ability as STEM CELLS that substantially improve the structures which have been injected to regenerate the surrounding cells which infiltrate, resulting in better results and improved quality of the skin, subcutaneous tissue and even muscle areas. It is important to study these fat grafts, not only for volume, but to improve aesthetic and functional structures damaged by the passage of time or external aggression (injuries, scars, sun exposure, etc) and internal (snuff, poor nutrition, etc).
In any case, are relatively simple treatments that are done on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia, without requiring a very complicated postoperative. Infiltration depends on where the product or fat require some gentle massage, ice or cold packs to reduce mild inflammation (although it is more important on the lips) and sunscreen if it appears a hematoma. Also in the subsequent tests advising you we will do what is best for you.
Survey and shortening the upper lip
The Aging can cause lengthening of the upper lip and narrowing of the lower lip. This can be solved by a simple "butterfly procedure."
The plastic surgeon makes a small incision in the form of butterfly, to lift the upper lip. The scar will be hidden in the nose.
The surgery, which is performed under local anesthesia, takes about an hour.
The surgery will return your youthful look.
What is the reshaping of the cheeks, chin or jaw?
Cosmetic plastic surgery to change the shape of the cheeks, chin or jaw is called a facial implant. This procedure is typically done to enhance certain facial features or to bring a certain aspect of the face into proportion with the rest of it.
-
For the reshaping of the cheeks, chin or jaw, the surgeon inserts an implant into the area to redefine its appearance.
-
Possible complications associated with facial implants
Possible complications associated with facial implants may include, but are not limited to, the following:
-
Infection: As with any surgery, infection can occur. If this happens, the patient is given antibiotics to eliminate infection. If infection persists, then you have to temporarily remove the implant and replace it later.
-
Displacement: A facial implant could be slightly misaligned and would require a second operation to replace it in the right place.
Thyroid cartilage remodeling
Uring adolescence, physical changes that generates testosterone - cartilagomale sex hormone - in the body of the boys are irreversible.
One of the most notable changes during this stage is the appearance of the Adam's apple, a feature typical male, which is nothing more than a cartilage that protects the vocal cords than males.
The correction of this feature visible male transsexual women is a necessity, one of the simplest operations in facial feminization procedures.
Thyroid cartilage
Conducting a small cut 4cm in one of the folds of the neck, allowing the surgeon to reach the thyroid cartilage which is the excess surplus that causes swelling in the neck is cut and removed, leaving the surface smooth and feminine . A bad practice this procedure would cause a deterioration in the voice, hence the importance of a qualified physician having responsibility for the operation.
Anaesthesia and Recovery
The local anesthesia and the duration of this surgery is one (1) hour. The recovery may be done at home when it will avoid speaking.
During the first few days will feel a slight discomfort when eating, and indicative of the operation performed is only a small bandage covering the points to be removed days later by the physician.
Complications
For more simple the surgery, there is the possibility that some complications arise such as:
-
Damage to the vocal cords and voice
-
Infections due to inadequate intake or lack of antibiotics.
-
Discomfort in talking
-
Adverse reactions to anesthesia
Calf Implant Placement
What changes have generated and what are the advantages of a calf implant?
The implant of twins is a surgical procedure that increases the volume of the legs too thin, due to atrophy of the calf from disease, injury, accident or physical constitution. This procedure allows the simulation of natural muscle development in that part of the legs, by implanting soft silicone prosthesis. Another big advantage of this treatment is it possible to provide the volume and length of the twins in the patient and improve the shape and the back surface of the legs. The Calf implants made by our specialists produces very gratifying changes to improve the appearance of the legs in men and women.
How is Calf Implants?
During surgery the surgeon makes a subtle crease incision behind the knee to produce a pocket through which the implant inserted previously selected. Carefully entering the prosthesis through the superficial fascia of the leg, the specialist gives the curvature and the desired volume, improving the shape of the limb and simulating a natural muscle development. In closing, the surgeon stitches the incision and placed across the leg a compressive elastic bandage or brace to secure the position of the implants and prevent the formation of edema. The duration of this procedure ranges between 1 and 2 hours, usually used general or epidural anesthesia and requires a hospital stay of 24 hours.
Am I a candidate for calf implant?
The calf implant treatment is suitable for those wishing to increase the size of their legs in the area of the twins, which are too thin because of atrophy of muscle diseases, injuries or accidents. It is also suitable for people fond of fitness and have not been sufficient development of their calves. If the patient is interested in increasing the size of the twins of his legs and improving the curvature and general shape of their legs, the calf implant is a very good choice.
How to prepare the patient for surgery?
During medical consultations before surgery specialist with the patient set the size of the prosthesis to be implanted, the rate and form to be obtained and preoperative care to follow. If the patient uses snuff, you should stop smoking for at least 3 weeks prior to the intervention. Also, the patient should refrain from taking medications such as aspirin and some anti-inflammatories, which can cause bleeding in some people. During visits to your plastic surgeon the patient will receive additional preoperative instructions. The patient is appropriate in these instances make all the necessary questions.
How it looks and feels the patient at the beginning?
The patient will feel tired and some discomfort of the procedure. Possible pain you experience will be easily relieved with medication prescribed by a specialist. To promote recovery the patient must use elastic bandages that were placed at the end of surgery. Likewise, it should keep your legs up and avoid long journeys, at least during the first week. It is very important that the patient keep a complete rest for the first 48 hours after surgery.
Correction of sagging face and neck
The facial aging process is manifested by a series of skin changes, such as: the atrophy of the dermis, destruction of elastic fibers and atrophy of the sebaceous glands that give the appearance of dry skin. These changes produced by the facial aging process, coupled with the effect of gravity, leading to a progressive sagging skin that is affecting the whole face. Fat tends to accumulate in certain places, such as the submental region, causing the "double chin." To eliminate or improve these defects of facial aging, different types of interventions such as facelift, blepharoplasty, the chin surgery, liposuction, etc.
Anesthesia Face Lift: It is performed with general or local anesthesia and sedation.
Pre-operative: We take pre-operative medical photographs, which show his face in detail. These help me evaluate your face and eyes before the operation, and are placed in the operating room for reference during surgery.
Facelift Surgery in Time: The actual surgical time will vary according to each patient. A facelift usually takes about two hours. Clinically normal stay is three nights. You will enter the day of surgery one and half hours before surgery and given high depending on the days that you entered / a.
Post-operative: The dots are starting to remove the 5 or 7 days. The resulting scar is hidden in the scalp, behind the ear and just before leaving on a 6 to 10 months and almost imperceptible white.
Correction of sagging of the face, eyelids and neck
The cervical surgery and facial rejuvenation includes a set of surgical techniques, alone or in combination, provide solutions to most problems posed by our patients.
Facial sutures
Technique is less aggressive. Is performed under local anesthesia and sometimes sedation. It consists in placing a long sutures are introduced from a small incision hidden in the scalp on each side, and head to the bottom of the face and into the neck. Your tension will create a more youthful image without further surgery. The results are valid for two years, after which he may be a re-tension new place without sutures (silhouette-lift).
Face and neck lift
Lift or facelift is a surgical procedure to improve visible signs of aging of the face, neck and sagging skin. With age, skin and muscles of the face region begin to lose tone. The facelift can not stop the aging process, but will improve their signs more visible by the tension of the muscles, the rehabilitation of the skin of the face and neck, and removal of selected areas of fat. A facelift can be done alone or with other procedures such as eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty, surgery on the muscles and the bands in the neck, face and neck liposuction, a laser photorejuvenation, the filling of deep wrinkles naso-labial furrows, botulinum toxin for wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines and crow's feet, among others.
Technical
The facelift and / or cervical cancer can be performed with general anesthesia or local anesthesia and sedation. Lasts 2-4 hours and the hospitalization last 12 to 48 hours. The incisions are placed around the ear and under her chin so are not seen as a whole. Recently techniques have become popular with minimal incisions that are placed only in front of the ears and scalp, with which good results with a quick recovery. In the postoperative hematomas will, tightness, swelling, deformity of the face, occasional lack of sensitivity, dry skin, which can last from hours to several weeks. The stitches are removed after 7 days. Returning to work is after two weeks, and sports may be from the month. There may be facial asymmetry for several weeks, and sunshine should be avoided for several months. The result is maintained for about 10 years or more.
Neck surgery
In addition to combined lifting face and neck, many patients who only need to correct excess skin or fat under the chin, or neck bands marked. In these cases, liposuction may be enough in the area to remove excess neck skin and return to his youth. When necessary, and at the same time, you can remove a small amount of skin, and can be arranged muscle bands (platysmaplasty) through a short incision in the crease under the chin.
Cheek Lift
Ehe area between your lower eyelids and mouth half-face is considered. As you age, the effects of gravity, repeated muscle contractions, and lifestyle cause the skin, fat and lean muscles down. When this occurs, the cheeks begin to decline or be flat, lower eyelids may swell or create hollow circles begin to appear under the eyes, and the lines between the nose and the corner of the mouth deepen.
The ENDOTINE cheek lift restores the natural curves and fullness in the cheeks by moving soft tissues back to where they were before. This is achieved by raising the midface soft tissue of the bone, placing upward, eyes, and fixing it in place until it adheres naturally to the bone as before. This restores cheek volume and establishes more youthful contours. The result is a natural, revitalized it does not seem exaggerated "or drawing" no visible scars.
Perioral dermabrasion
The Dermabrasion is a technique that involves removing the top layers of skin so that, when he recovers the body and form new skin (epithelialization) changes of the surface disappear or become less apparent. It is used to correct defects or irregularities of moderate to profound.
The treatment is done with a roller attached to a motorized handpiece or using surgical sandpaper. The abrasion depth until it reaches the level at which we are trying to defect (scar or wrinkle) drops significantly.
Dermabrasion is treated by the aftermath of acne on the face, facial scarring, perioral wrinkles ("barcode"), periocular ("crow's feet) and certain conditions such as rhinophyma or keratosis.

To complete the procedure, usually a bandage is placed plastic, which prevents pain and crusting, and maintaining four or five days, or the cure is open, ie using ointments that keep the wound protected. In this case it forms a crust, which is going to evolve gradually.
Immediately after the procedure, the skin appears red and swollen, then the rash is fading and the swelling recedes and completely normalizes between 4 and 12 weeks. In men should avoid shaving for a few weeks.
In general, not be very active sports or outdoors for four to six weeks. Above all, it is important to protect the skin from the sun to prevent pigmentation. Sunscreens should be applied until the pigment is stabilized. This can take six months to a year. When the process is completely finished, the color of the skin should be very similar to adjacent areas, making the treatment virtually undetectable.
Front Dermabrasion
The long-term irregularities, such as acne, the skin surface smoothing can be treated by dermabrasion. This procedure permanently improve the contour of the surface modifying the dermis, a deeper layer of the skin, and is usually given in combination with other procedures. The deep lines around the mouth or facial scars of years they may respond well to dermabrasion therapy to minimize the shadows and the prominence of these regions.
Fat infiltration of the eyelids
The Blepharoplasty is a procedure to remove excess skin and fat pads handle both upper eyelids and the lower to improve the appearance of tired eyes and make them look young and fresh. Blepharoplasty is a surgery that is intended to rejuvenate the facial appearance through the intervention of the eyelids. Blepharoplasty is a functional or cosmetic surgical procedure in order to reshape the upper or lower eyelid by removing and / or repositioning excess tissue as well as strengthen the surrounding muscles and tendonsWhen a significant amount of eyelid skin, the skin may hang over the eyelashes and cause loss of peripheral vision. The outer and upper parts of the visual field are most commonly affected and the condition may cause difficulty with activities such as driving or reading. In these circumstances, the upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to improve peripheral vision. Patients with a lower amount of excess skin may be a similar procedure for cosmetic reasons.

The operation in the lower eyelid is almost always done for cosmetic reasons, to improve the "pockets" of the lower eyelids and reduce the wrinkling of the skin. Since it is very common when people reach the age of 40 lids from falling down the excess skin on them. This applies to both the top and the bottom. To this must be added the presence of bags under the eyes (especially in the lower ones) and even "frills" on many occasions. In fact, the problem of bags (which are fat on the eyelids) can be found at very early ages, as it can be inherited.
Blepharoplasty is performed through external incisions made along the natural lines of the eyelids, such as the stripes of the above and below the lashes in the lower or inner surface of the eyelid down. It is usually an outpatient surgery (also called day surgery) because it is not necessary that the patient remains hospitalized. Recovery is quick. The swelling and initial amoroto take a week or two to reset but it takes at least several months until the final result becomes stable. Depending on the scope of the procedure, the operation takes one to three hours to complete.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, reshape the tip or bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils or change the angle between the nose and upper lip. You can also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems.
Understanding the procedure
Rhinoplasty usually takes an hour or two, though complicated procedures may take longer. During surgery the skin of the nose is separated from its supporting structure of bone and cartilage, which is then sculpted into the desired shape. The nature of the sculpting will depend on your problem and surgery techniques, we must apply. Finally, skin is covered on the new structure.
Many plastic surgeons perform rhinoplasty from within the nose, making their incision inside the nostrils. Others prefer an "open" procedure, especially in more complicated cases, make a small incision in the columella, the vertical strip of tissue separating the nostrils.
When surgery is completed, a splint will be applied to help your nose maintain its new shape. stuffed nose or soft plastic splints also may be placed in nostrils to stabilize septum, the dividing wall between the air ducts.
Are you a good candidate?
Rhinoplasty can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but not necessarily change your looks to match your ideal or cause other people to treat you differently. Before deciding to have surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with Dr. Cardenas during consultaion.
The best candidates for rhinoplasty are people looking for improvement, not perfection, the way they look. If you are physically healthy, psychologically stable and realistic in your expectations, you can be a good candidate.
Rhinoplasty can be performed to meet aesthetic goals or for reconstructive purposes to correct birth defects or breathing problems.
Preparation / anesthesia
Based on a review of the patient's medical history may be necessary for the doctor to perform additional blood tests and an electrocardiogram before continuing with the procedure. The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia by an anesthesiologist.
Incisions
Usually the incisions for rhinoplasty are the base of the nose and the inside of the nostrils.
When rhinoplasty is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, complications are infrequent and usually minor. However, there is always a possibility of complications, including infection, nosebleed, or a reaction to anesthesia. You can reduce your risks by closely following your surgeon's instructions both before and after surgery.
After surgery, small burst blood vessels may appear as tiny red spots on the skin surface and these are usually minor but may be permanent. As for scarring, when rhinoplasty is performed from inside the nose, no visible scarring at all, when an "open" technique is used, or when the procedure requires the narrowing of the nostrils, small scars at the base of the nose are usually not visible.
In about one in ten, a second procedure may be necessary, for example, to correct a minor deformity. Such cases are unpredictable and occur even in patients of more experienced surgeons. Corrective surgery is usually minor.
Aftercare
After surgery, especially during the first four hours of your face will feel puffy, your nose may ache, and you may have a headache. You can control any discomfort with the medication for moderate pain. Plan to stay in bed with your head elevated.
A little bleeding is common during the first days after surgery, and you may continue to feel some congestion or numbness in several weeks. Your surgeon will probably ask you not to blow your nose for a week or so, while the tissues heal.
If you have nasal packing is removed after a few days and feel much more comfortable. At the end of one or, occasionally, two weeks, all dressings, splints and stitches should be removed.
Most rhinoplasty patients are moving in two days, and to return to school or sedentary work a week or so after surgery. It will be several weeks, however, before it is fully up to date.
You will notice swelling and bruising around the eyes will increase at first, reaching a peak after two or three days. Applying cold compresses will reduce this swelling and make you feel a little better. In any case, you will feel much better than you look. Most swelling and bruising will disappear in two weeks or so.
Chin
Implant Placement
Facial cosmetic surgery of the chin or chin lift is a procedure or facial cosmetic surgery is performed only on the chin or in conjunction with facial aesthetic surgery of the nose and cheekbones, facial cosmetic surgery of the chin and cheeks is performed under local anesthesia , is implanted inside the mouth or through a small incision in the skin of the chin and cheekbones.
Facial cosmetic surgery of the chin, also called chin augmentation chin surgery seeks to offset the deficit generated chin in the profile when the chin is too small or when the chin is markedly delayed compared to the line passing through the glabella and nasal spine.
Chin osteotomy
The chin is an anatomical structure of aesthetic and functional significance of muscle attachment of the lower lip in addition to a special resistance to the jaw. Chin malformations require surgical correction to find a workable balance during mastication and swallowing functions and on the other side to psychological stimuli. There are different techniques for these changes, however the extension has fewer resources at describing a new procedure that facilitates the sagittal type above corrections without resorting to bone graft. The greater part of aesthetic meaning in the face are determined by the anatomical structures that are prominent in the facial skeleton that is in order, the nose, cheeks, chin and mandibular angle, in profile the nose and chin are the most important aesthetic relievantes.
The vertical facial dimensions, either in front or in profile, extending from the forehead to the bottom of the chin to achieve a good balance, hence the importance of the chin can not be underestimated in any way. The chin is a mandibular apophysis whose development is determined genetically and has individual psychological meaning so that a prominent chin is most commonly associated with aggressive attitudes while the chin retruded or its links to poor passive and quiet.
The architecture of the jaw shows a particular design with two thick cortical contour and a central core region of varying density ossification. This structure is home to multiple muscle attachments and the depressor muscles of the lower lip (the beard Square, triangular tassel Meton and the lips), and depressants jaw (digastric and platysma). The outer surface appositional nature chin all the way around and trabeculation directed horizontally to the sides, confer a surface tension on the outside and pressure on the lingual surface to create an area of direct impact resistance. Orthognathic surgical procedures are aimed at balanced and adequate relocation of the upper and lower jaw including the chin, however, the particular value of this makes your position is determined individually and eventually the relocation should be in isolation for for balance of the jaw with a good masticatory system functional.
Besides a good position of the jaws and optimal occlusion, the functional relationship of soft tissues is achieved if they are in position that allows a proper lip seal in harmony with the other functions of the stomatognathic system. The chin can be classified according to their size and position of macro and microgenia; pro v retrogenia: levo and dextrogenia. The microgenia macrogenia and involve an increase or a decrease in all dimensions of the chin. Have described numerous surgical techniques for correction of various anomalies of the chin. Among the techniques can be mentioned, the transverse osteotomy is the traditional technique, the double osteotomy and sinfisotomía, and it can be taken forward, backward, up and down, right and left, but the procedures required for elongation of the chin bone grafts or implants which involves a major surgical procedure or use of an inert material that does not favor the functional activities of the lip tissue. The microgenia required by the conditions of vertical and anteroposterior lower volume of specific procedures for their correction. This article describes a new technique that allows the extension and advancement of the chin, simultaneously.
Neck Liposuction
Maybe of the areas that most affect the person's jowls. Fortunately there is a solution for neck liposuction. For this procedure we use very thin cannulas, especially designed for this. Remove excess fat and expect the skin to retract and help define the angle of the neck. The results are spectacular. We use sedation and local anesthesia. The surgery is outpatient, prescribe antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. You must use a neck strip for two weeks to ensure good skin retraction.
This procedure is performed under local anesthesia and usually lasts 15 to 30 minutes.
Arms
Correction Flaccidity
The laxity of the medial regions of the arms and chest below the armpit are common deformities. We present already in patients younger than 40 years and continues due to changes in the elasticity of the skin, superficial fascia laxity and excessive accumulation of subcutaneous tissue, this also associated with weight loss, excessive.
Although the arms are mainly affected the axillary regions, chest wall, breast side edges, the forearm and hand require particular attention with regard to medical or surgical treatment.
Surgical correction of these conditions requires a detailed assessment to determine the requirements of each particular case: for mild ptosis, as surgeon to the patient suggest a routine of exercise and strict nutrition before surgical correction, for cases where the accumulation of fat is mild, you can perform liposuction and placement of strips for a period less than 3 weeks, where the skin is very loose resources to the surgery itself, given that it leaves scars that even with proper healing and placement are unaesthetic and extensive. This is a limitation especially if the patient lives in a town with very hot climate where your clothing needs to be sleeveless or short sleeves. It is important to make clear to the patient the risks and benefits of this procedure, and especially discuss the resulting scars after surgery.
The techniques provide a psychological benefit to patients but they must realize that the correction of this deformity requires significant measures scars. The location and degree of sagging and dry tissue vary in each patient, either by excess fat or loss of skin elasticity. The position and extent of the cuts are in line with the deformity, there shall be no earlier or later in view of the patient.
Based on a review of the patient's medical history may be necessary for the doctor to perform additional blood tests and an electrocardiogram before continuing with the procedure. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia by an anesthesiologist.
Post-operative complications such as infection and blood clots are rare, but can occur. The infection can be treated with antibiotics and drainage. The risks of infection are even higher when making incisions in the buttock crease. Smokers should be warned to stop, as smoking may increase the risk of complications and delay healing.
Another complication that can occur is the change of the implant and causing uneven results appear. The implants can rupture, or rupture, a rare but possible occurrence
Abdominoplasty
The people who have loose abdominal skin and fat that is concentrated in the abdomen can benefit from abdominoplasty. Sometimes these conditions are inherited. In other cases, weight loss may cause abdominal skin to become flaccid. Abdominoplasty also can strengthen muscles that have been separated and weakened by pregnancy. The operation can also improve the appearance of stretch marks, especially those located below the navel.

The operation can also improve the appearance of stretch marks, especially those located below the navel.
Understanding the procedure
Abdominoplasty, more commonly known as "abdominoplasty," is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the abdominal wall muscles. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. But keep in mind, produce a permanent scar which, depending on the size of the original problem and the surgery required to correct it, abdominales2can extend from hip to hip. Liposuction is simply a more aggressive liposuction in at least 5 liters of fat and fluid removed. As with normal liposuction is a procedure enabdominales2 which localized deposits of fat are removed to reshape one or more areas of the body. Through a tiny incision, a narrow tube or cannula is inserted and used to vacuum the fat layer that lies well below the skin. The cannula is pushed then pulled through the fat layer, breaking down fat cells and suctioning them out. The suction action is provided by a vacuum pump or large syringe. If many sites are being treated, then we will move to the next area, working to keep the incisions as inconspicuous as possible. Fluid is lost along with fat, and it is crucial that this fluid be replaced during the procedure to prevent shock. For this reason, patients should be carefully monitored and receive intravenous fluids during and immediately after surgery.
Are you a good candidate?
You can be a good candidate for abdominoplasty if you have one or more of the following conditions:
-
Excess or sagging abdominal skin
-
An abdomen that protrudes and is out of proportion with the rest of your body
-
Abdominal muscles that have been separated and weakened
-
Excess fatty tissue is concentrated in your abdomen
If you plan to become pregnant or lose weight in the future, you should discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Scarring from previous abdominal surgery may limit the results of the abdominoplasty.
Preparation / anesthesia Based on a review of the patient's medical history may be necessary for the doctor to perform additional blood tests and an electrocardiogram before continuing with the procedure. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia by an anesthesiologist.
Risk
Post-operative complications such as infection and blood clots are rare, but can occur. The infection can be treated with antibiotics and drainage, but will prolong your hospital stay. You can minimize the risk of blood clots by moving around as soon after surgery as possible. Poor healing resulting in conspicuous scars, may necessitate a second operation. Smokers should be warned to stop, as smoking may increase the risk of complications and delay healing.
Aftercare
For the first few days, your abdomen will be swollen and is very likely feel some pain and discomfort can be controlled with medication. Depending on the extent of surgery, may be released a few hours or you may have to remain hospitalized for two to three days. Your doctor will give instructions for showering and changing your dressings. And although you can not stand straight at first, you should start walking as soon as surface posible.Puntadas be removed in five to seven days, and deeper sutures, with ends that protrude through the skin, will come in two or three weeks. The dressing on your incision may be replaced by a support garment.
Recovery
Abdominoplasty is not minor surgery. It is recommended that you have at least two weeks of recovery time before returning to normal activities.
Lipo abdominoplastia
The Lipoabdominoplasty is a technique that adds to the abdominoplasty liposuction to slim the waist, abdomen and more, further enhance the results.
The best candidates for lipoabdominoplastia are patients with moderate excess skin and fat deposits that do not respond to diet or exercise, especialmete after multiple pregnancies in whom there is excess skin, stretch marks and the muscles are stretched to the point of losing its normal elasticity. It is also ideal for patients who have tissue-colombiacular muslipoescultura weakened or zones of weakness in the abdominal wall, hernias or abdominal scars low cesarean for example, or when there is loss of skin elipoescultura-colombialasticity and muscle tone, with some excess normal fat tissue in older patients or after weight loss. It consists of making a conventional abdominoplasty to improve the aesthetics of the anterior abdomen, and perform liposuction on the sides and rear areas of the abdomen, ie: waist, hip and back, thereby achieving a more harmonious body contour .
As a type of combined surgery, it is customary to take some additional measures and the usual care. It is also important to remember that his recovery could take several days longer than if it were a traditional tummy tuck or liposuction.
Flaccidity Correction
Inguinal flaccidity
The sagging abdominal surgery or abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure aimed at removing excess skin and fat, muscle relocation and removal or improvement of previous scars in the lower abdomen.
In many women, pregnancy causes the skin and muscles become flabby, as well as men and women who, being obese, weight loss, the result is what we call abdominal tenderness.
Some patients believe that the abdominoplasty is a technique to lose weight. This is not true, although the procedure removes some fat, not substitute for a balanced diet and exercise.
Surgical Techniqueimagen-principal
Horizontal incision is made at the birth of pubic hair, then separates the skin and skin cell tissue (fat) at the muscular level to the costal margin. The abdominal muscles - muscles that run vertically parallel - are reset to the midline to improve the waist and that this separation is often seen in women after pregnancy. The navel is cut in a circle being in the same position in the abdominal wall and then be placed through a new opening in the skin.
In some patients with lower laxity can perform what is termed minidermolipectomy, which leaves no scar periumbilical and horizontal incision is shorter. Usually complemented by a liposuction around the navel. The general anesthesia is performing and should remain hospitalized 24 to 48 hours., Continuing to sleep 3 or 4 days at home.
Postoperative
Authorizing the return to normal duties after 10 or 14 days depending on the evolution and type of work.
You can not make exercise or sports for 30 days. Until then use an elastic abdominal belt.
The edema (swelling) of the abdomen is normal after surgery, during the first week your clothes may be something set, you can expect that 50% improvement is seen at 2 weeks and 75% a month. Usually it takes 2 months for the swelling disappears. To help this process is performed manual lymphatic drainage sessions after the stitches removed.
As the normal evolution, the stitches are removed at 10 and 14 days.
As with all surgery monitoring the healing and treatment is of vital importance for long-term scar is less clear what is possible but be aware that the outcome depends largely on the type of healing for each patient.
If the patient has hernias are, inguinal, umbilical or epigastric, or who have gynecological diseases should be treated surgically, may be made in the same surgical procedure to prevent the patient to two operations.
Lift upper buttock
The I have butt enhancement surgery increasingly popular in Europe. The technique has improved considerably. The results are now much more reliable than in the still recentlip2 past. Demand has traditionally been highest in South America and Central America. However, due to recent advances, acceptance of the buttock lift with or without growth has increased.cirugía de realce de glúteos en cada día más popular en Europa.
In combination with liposuction and silicone implants in the upper buttocks, buttocks can achieve attractive, youthful and contoured, even in Caucasian women who are prone to depriones buttocks. Enhancement of the buttocks, is usually a combination of lift, augmentation, liposuction and fat transplant micro.
In whites, there is often a complaint about sagging buttocks. The result is a "back down" with depressions in the bottom and not very abundant in the top. It is similar to the problem of falling breasts.
For best results, you can also liposuction adjacent areas or low-fat too.
Therefore, a combination of techniques such as the following may be necessary:
-
Buttock Lift scar in the crease, extending to the side, in severe cases.
-
Increased silicone implant to fill the outline below the lower back and sides. The incision (7 cm) is carried out at the height of the central line that covers the lower sacrum coccyx. The size of the implant to be used varies according to each CAS.
-
Liposculpture / Liposuction adjacent areas such as jodhpurs, love handles and sacral area.
-
Micro fat transplantation to fill a depression in the side of the pelvis.
Removal of Silicone
Chin
The seeking cosmetic enhancement and proper proportion of facial features may be advised to increase or decrease in the chin, to accommodate the rest of the face.
The addition of a chin that must be corrected a few centimeters, can be accomplished through:
-
implementation of a prosthetic chin, which can be of different matmentonerials, including solid silicone, etc ... To insert the implant, you can use an incision inside the mouth, the groove between the gum and lower lip (intraoral), or a small skin incision under the chin, similar to that used Lifting of the lower 1 / 3 or neck (external route).
-
infiltration of fatty tissue from the patient using the technique of Lipostructure, with permanent results.
the advancement of a portion of the jaw bone by bone sections (or osteotomies) horizontal, also using intraorally. In these cases the rim of the bone is displaced and fixed in an accurate and precise, correcting the defect and if necessary is also possible to conveniently shorten a face that is too long.
The addition of a chin that must be corrected to a greater extent, be treated by bone sections or vertical advancement osteotomies. When the preoperative evaluation also highlight a malocclusion of the teeth that require a lower arch advancement, progress will be needed in the jaw, with subsequent orthodontic treatment.
To reduce a chin too prominent, you will need to make a sanding or a section of bone (osteotomy) through an incision inside the mouth. The osteotomy can move forward, shorten and strengthen the jaw.
It is important to identify possible asymmetries or differences in shape or size from one side of the face and another. Interventions can be performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation, and time spent at the health center may be only a few hours if done as outpatients, or day if you enter the clinic. In some cases very pronounced defects, in which treatments are required previously described sections of the jaw bone, it may take more days of admission. In this type of intervention is contraindicated for massage in the immediate postoperative period, which could lead to the mobilization of material implanted. After the intervention may be necessary to immobilize the area with a dressing of plaster, which will be removed within a few days.
Cheeks
The Cosmetic surgery can enhance cheekbones, removing sickly and maplabios_menton the features that the lack of prominence ofthe malar area can give. It involves the insertion of prosthesis of silicone or other synthetic material that conforms to the surface of the zygoma.
Normally the way to approach to the implant is inside the mouth, above the groove between the upper lip and gum, so internal scar is not visible. The surgeon creates a tunnel that ends in the cavity that will hold the prosthesis on the bone molar.
Usually local anesthesia is used, however, depending on the preferences of the patient and the surgeon and if it is an intervention of a broader, general anesthesia may be used. The operation normally takes 30 to 45 minutes.
There will be some swelling and mobility of the mouth and lips will be affected temporarily. The points used to close the incision inside the mouth will dissolve after about 10 days.
A few days after the implant is not noticed and incorporated as its own. Complications, extremely rare, consist in a bad position or displacement possibly requiring a replacement of the implant. Cosmetic surgery can enhance cheekbones, removing sickly and map the features that the lack of prominence of the malar area can give
