Successful Liver Transplant in Izmir, Turkey

To Friends and Staff at Kent Hospital,

My wife, Anna Kalandarishvili, learned that she was infected with hepatitis C virus during an operation 16 years ago. Unfortunately, her liver fibrosis advanced over the years until it reached stage F2-F3. Despite treatment with interferon, her disease continued to progress. Three months ago, our doctors in Georgia recommended that we come to Kent Hospital in Izmir, Turkey for a liver transplant. To that end, we contacted Assoc. Prof. Murat Kılıç in order to make the appointment with him and his transplant team. My wife’s condition was very serious... after the examination at Kent Hospital, a date was set for the operation by Dr. Kılıç. He and his highly professional team successfully carried out the operation, and my wife had the chance to get back to her normal life.

It is difficult to express in words the gratitude and admiration we feel towards Assoc. Prof. Murat Kılıç and his team for giving life back to my wife. We loved the friendly atmosphere at Kent Hospital, and the professionalism and kindness of the medical staff at every level. The hard work of our coordinator, Nana Svintradze, made our stay especially enjoyable and trouble-free.
