International Medical Travel Association Americas Conference Focuses Upon Medical Travel Opportunities in the U.S.

The International Medical Travel Association (IMTA), a global organization that represents leading healthcare providers and medical travel facilitators around the world, will present "IMTA Americas Conference: Medical Travel Opportunities in the U.S." on December 7, 2008, at Consumer Health World 2008.  This major post-election conference will evaluate the impact of a new presidential administration and set strategies for short and long-term healthcare solutions.

"This event promises IMTA members a full day of high level networking with executives from leading U.S. employers, health plans, and administrators and providers," says Steven Tucker, M.D., president of the IMTA and a leading U.S. board-certified medical oncologist. "The IMTA Americas Conference will be a day of special programming focused on developing the U.S. market for medical travel."

The conference comes at a critical time in the nation’s economy and will provide an unprecedented opportunity for employers, investors, providers, and consumers to tackle healthcare issues head on.

"Consumer Health World taps the leading thinkers in the industry such as the senior executives from the members of the IMTA, who are providing much needed guidance in addressing today's most pressing issues," says Skip Brickley, CEO of Transmarx, the nation’s leader in coordinating premiere healthcare conferences. "Attendees will come away with go-forward strategies and practical solutions that can be readily implemented in the workplace."

IMTA’s conference offers special prices for IMTA members and speakers: $195 for members; $295 for non-members. Contact Willie Moreno (804.266.7422 x 7414) for discount code.
