3. General Information

PlacidWay provides information regarding medical tourism. Much of our information is published on this Website, however, we do also offer our "Request for Information" services.  When you complete our online Request for Information forms, the information that you provide helps us provide detailed information regarding the location of clinics in the nations you are interested in that possess health care providers who are able to provide the treatment you seek.  We will share this information with the clinics and healthcare providers so that we can provide you with clinic and healthcare contact names, emails, and/or phone numbers and so that you can conduct your own research to determine if the clinics and healthcare professionals meet your expectations.

At your request, in order to facilitate a review of your medical records by the clinic or healthcare profession of your choice, we will forward your medical records either electronically or by fax.  After receiving your medical records and reviewing the same, the clinic or health care provider you have selected will be able to better advise you regarding your medical treatment options, related costs, post-surgery recovery time and the amount of time in total you will need to stay in the nation where the clinic is located.

We do not share your medical information, name, email address or any other personally identifiable information with any third parties except as we have explained in the above paragraph.

You can access our Website home page without disclosing your personal data. Some aspects of our site are available to registered members only and as our terms require, you must provide us with the required registration information, which has to be complete, accurate and up to date.

We do have a health tourism related email service that you may subscribe to if you wish.  If you do subscribe to our email, we will stop sending it to you if you decide to opt-out by following the opt-out or “unsubscribe” instructions.

Every time when processing your personal data we are governed by following principles:

  • personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to you; 
  • personal data is collected only for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes;

Where we are processing your personal data for marketing purposes, we may contact you at least every month to ensure you are pleased to continue receiving our marketing communications. You may require us not to use your personal data for marketing purposes or object to such processing at any time by sending appropriate request or statement to our email address.

16. Email Referrals

If you like our Website or Services you may choose to use our email referral services to tell a friend about our products or services we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will use that information to send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site and review the product or service you have selected. We may use a third-party provider to administer this function, but any such third-party provider may only use the information submitted to facilitate this one-time email. 

In course of email referral service we always aim to gain consent to get able to send further communications. That means that if you give us your friend’s name and email address, we will send only confirmation email to your friend. In this email we are going to ask your friend if he or she would like to hear more about us, our Website or Services or be added to mailing list or receive further communications. Only If your friend provide us with his or her explicit consent we can add your friend to our mailing list and send him or her emails with our marketing materials.
