Dental Cosmetics Costa Rica Testimonials

I am an American, retired and living in beautiful Costa Rica .  Over my life I have been to many dentists and have found that the dental care here in Costa Rica to be excellent.

Dr. Alejandro Mora Lasso is a fine young and excellent dentist whom I would highly recommend.  I will be 75 years old soon and my teeth look like they were 40 years ago with only a few visits.  Doctor you are Top Shelf.
Bob Waddington

On a recent visit to Costa Rica for business, I found myself with some extra time. I needed some dental work, looked up some local dentists, and came across Dr Alejandro Mora. From the very first call, his service was courteous, efficient, and very knowledgeable. He wasn't interested in just getting me in the door, and he provided timely, painless, and excellent work.

Whether in Costa Rica for business or pleasure, I highly recommend Dr Mora to anyone, young or old. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Alex.

After doing my research, I was recommended to visit Dr. Alejandro Mora Lasso. My teeth needed a lot of work done. Here in United States the price was between 15 to 20 thousand dollars. A friend of mine told me about this packages he puts together where you visit Costa Rica and at the same time you get your dental work done.

Never the less, I paid 7 thousand dollars that not only included airline tickets, hotel, two meals a day and trip to the Guanacaste beach, but also my teeth are in a good shape as I wanted.

I definitely recommend Dr. Mora Lasso because he is a young modern dentist, and a visit to the beautiful Costa Rica . I am planning to go back next summer. Thanks Alejandro for a wonderful experience.

It's been at least 4 years since I wanted to get my teeth whitened. The reason I didn't do it before is because I live in Canada and it is definitely more expensive here.

I went to Costa Rica to visit my family and I just happened to mention my interest in getting this procedure done. Someone suggested Dr. Alejandro Mora and I decided to give it a try.

I'm so glad I did. He is truly the best dentist I've ever had!  He is young and friendly, but at the same time very professional.  I will definitely go back to his office. Not only it was a good experience but I also got fantastic results!

Thank you Doctor!

Hi Dr Mora,The results were great, very pleased and the cost from $700 an implant from $2200 is a huge difference. It was all done in a hospital surrounding, very clean!

The dentist spoke perfect english and also the surgeon, I've told all my friends. I'm going back sometime in November/08 for the final stage of the implants. I enjoyed the whole experience very much, I also traveled all around Costa Rica and the people are friendly and the whether is good. I had 7 implants at $700 each total of $5000.

Dr. Mora
Thank You very much for a job well done!!!!! I appreciate your professionalism and the quality was just phenomenal. You’re a great guy with a great personality and you made me extremely comfortable while I was there. I will try to get down there in July to get the bottom done. This time we will have to go to Cafe Mundo together. "On Me". I have gotten so many compliments on my teeth so I'm very appreciative of the work you did.
Thanks Again

Dr Fernandez and Dr. Mora,
It was my pleasure to meet you both this week. I was happy with both your facitilies and your abilities.
I made it safely to Carolina Norte, as we say en espanol.

Once again it was my pleasure to meet you and I look forward to seeing you one more time when you place the 5th implant.

Please thank "Ana" again for me as she did a nice job too!
Regards,
Clio Rowell

'My visit with Dr. Mora and Dr. Fernandez   far surpassed my expectations . We all have fear of the pain and discomfort; however this part was very minimal.  I experienced a small throb for a couple of hours.   In 2 hours I was eating as much ice cream as I wanted and I went to the movies that evening.  I took only 1 of the 5 pain  pills I was given. My next concern was how long would I be in the chair, well it wasn't much of a concern after all, it only took about an hour  to complete the work I needed, which included 2 teeth pulled, 2 post's installed for my implants, some bone work and of course the stitches. I went home and took a nap for 2 hours and then I was up and doing pretty much all the stuff i usually do, eating hard foods took 4 days. In short it was a breeze for me with 2 Doctors who were both fun and informative. Talk to these guys you'll be glad you did.

San Jose, Costa Rica Destination Overview

What are you waiting for?

Costa Rica is Central America’s jewel. It's an oasis of calm among its turbulent neighbors and an ecotourism heaven, making it one of the best places to experience the tropics with minimal impact. In a relatively small area, Costa Rica has everything one could want in vacation paradise. There are secluded white sand beaches with great surf and amazing scuba diving. There are active volcanoes and towering rain forests. And, eco-tourism is a specialty of the house.

Beautiful Sandy Beaches
Costa Rica is mostly coastline, which means great surfing, beaches galore and a climate built for laziness.

Being at almost the narrowest point of the isthmus of Central America , the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Seas are mere hours apart by car. Costa Rica has beaches for everyone.

Both coasts have beautiful, warm beaches, but the Pacific side is much larger, and has a strong dry season. Actually we are known for "Forever Springtime Weather and Nothing Artificial."
The beaches are ideal for swimming, skin diving, fishing, and surfing.

Active Volcanoes
In Costa Rica there are 112 volcanic formations. They belong to so called Pacific Rim of Fire.

Seven of them are considered as active ones. Their activity is connected with fertile soils, which cover the majority of Costa Rica territory.

The highest Costa Rica’s volcano is Irazu, the most active is Arenal, and Poas has the second widest crater in the world. (Diameter 1,5 kilometers).

In 1950`s, the terrains around each Costa Rican volcanoes were decided to be under protection. Many of them are within the national parks.

The most serious eruption was that of Irazu volcano in 1963. It erupted with clouds of smoke and ash that kept showering over San Jose and other parts for two years.

Tree Top Canopy Tours
The Canopy Tour started in Costa Rica and now we export this technology around the world.

The Tour offers everyone an exhilarating opportunity to soar through the rain forest high above the forest floor.

There you will view jungle life from a perspective previously reserved for a select group of researchers and photographers.

Tropical Rainforest Tours
In Costa Rica's rain forest are found more than 100 species of mammals including 5 species of cats, over 400 species of birds including 30 kinds of hummingbirds, tens of thousands of insect species (over 5000 species of moths) and 2,500 species of plants  (420 kinds of orchids). The area is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding wildlife refuges in the New World Tropics.

Fishing
Costa Rica is home to some of the best sport fishing and deep sea fishing in the world, with over 79 world records to its credit. Be prepared to catch Yellow Fin Tuna, Black Fin Tuna, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin, Grouper, Snapper, Roosterfish, Snook, dorado and more!
On the Pacific side , fish the tropical waters of Flamingo, Tamarindo, Tambor, Quepos, the Gulfo Dulc and Osa Peninsula.

On the Atlantic - Caribbean side, you'll find Tarpon and Snook, barracuda, kingfish, spanish mackarel, jack, grouper, snapper and others. The canals and rivers of the northern Caribbean coast are lined with lush rain forest, which adds to the natural experience. Here you will find some of the best snook and tarpon fishing in the world. Most of the sportfishing services in Costa Rica believe in the catch and release program for Marlin and Sailfish.

Snorkeling and Diving
Little discovered, and still uncrowded, scuba divers travel here from all parts of the world to see thousands of hammerhead sharks and enormous schools of innumerable fish in our tropical, plankton rich water. Just as terrestrial Costa Rica is home to an incredibly wide diversity of animal and plant species, the waters offshore also teem with marine life.

You can dive in calm transparent waters on the Caribbean coast or opt for the wilder and more spectacular Pacific side. Whatever option you choose you will encounter a lot more fish and a lot fewer divers than you are accustomed to in most Caribbean tourist destinations.

Surfing
With 755 miles of coastline on two oceans, Costa Rica has more breaks than you can even imagine. The country's selection of surf spots range from idyllic beach breaks to coral platforms where the water leaps up and tubes like a miniature Pipeline.

Having coastline on two oceans is quite an advantage, since when one ocean is flat, there is usually something breaking on the other side of the country. Often enough, there is good surf pumping on both coasts, with uncrowded breaks.

And the country's surf is complemented by its comfortable water temperatures (you can leave that wet suit at home), beautiful scenery, and the convenience of a variety of accommodations and restaurants near most breaks.

Since it is five times longer than the Caribbean coast, the Pacific has considerably more surfing spots. Many of the country's best breaks are found in the northwest province of Guanacaste , but there are also some excellent spots in the Central Pacific and Southern Zones. And the few breaks that are available in the Caribbean province of Limon are certainly nothing to complain about.

Bird-watching
Fortunately, Costa Rica's birds are not shy. Seeing them is relatively easy. Depending on season, location, and luck, you can expect to see many dozens of species on any one day. Many tour companies offer guided bird-study tours, and the country is well set up with mountain and jungle lodges which specialize in bird watching programs.

White water rafting
Costa Rica’s mountainous topography and copious rainfall are together responsible for one of the best white water river selections in the world. About half a dozen rambunctious rivers are regularly run by experienced rafting outfitters, and those river trips not only provide plenty of excitement, they also pass some gorgeous scenery. Not only do white water enthusiasts flock Costa Rica, but every year tens of thousands of visitors experience the thrill of rafting for the first time there.

Costa Rica is the perfect place for a first white water rafting experience, since it has several rivers that offer a combination of reasonable rapids and beautiful floats. There are even rivers that are great for family excursions and bird watching, since they lack big rapids and flow through forests full of birds and other animals. In fact almost all river trips offer chances to see a bit of the country's wildlife, such as iguanas, blue morpho butterflies, parrots, otters, king fishers and herons.
