Almater Hospital is a first class private hospital that was built in 1985. In its years of existence, has been characterized by a constant growth. Currently, Almater has 35 rooms and has plans for further expansion in the near future. Our office will have an interpreter for you and my public relations staff will be in touch with you all the time.

External Consultation-Guaranteed medical care
Even though we offer an open system institution, all our staff’s medical credentials are reviewed by our Certifications Board, a process that guarantees that every doctor has a complete resume that fully complies with Federal and State laws, as well as valid certification from the corresponding board for each specialty.
As a norm, all our doctors are accredited with courses and exams in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). Additionaly, they must comply with the necessary CME credits that are required to maintain certification.
Statistics obtained from our permanent survey program show a high level of satisfaction from our patients, both in the caring and humane way in which they are treated as well as the promptness and high quality of the services we offer.

Imagenology - At the forefront in imagenology
Among our most recent acquisitions we now offer the services of the Light Speed VCT 64 Tomographer and the 1.5T High Speed Magnetic Resonance System to our patients; both highly advanced equipments in imagenology. These technologies offer a degree of detail and precision in visual diagnostics never before reached in the field.
They have a wide variety of applications for most medical specialities, including cardiology, neurology, angiology, gastroenterology, traumatology and orthopedics, urology and nefrology.
Operating Rooms - The most highly equipped installations for surgical procedures.
We have four operating rooms with the best technology. In them surgeons can perform from the most basic surgical procedure to the most complex and advanced, both on children and adults..
In our four operating rooms surgeons, anestheologists, assistants and the nursing staff can do their work supported by a modern infrastructure with stat-of-the-art equipment that receives maintenance under strict guidelines from the manufacturers.
All operating rooms have non-invasive monitors and all the necessary services to ensure the safety and relaxation of the patient.

The quality of the work in a clinical laboratory is evident throughout the process of the tests it applies, from the initial reception of the samples to the delivery of results, which are a basic instrument to every doctor offering medical care to his or her patients.
The "Centro Hematológico de Mexicali" (Mexicali Hematological Center) operates within Almater Hospital since 1994. This is the first blood bank that offers its service inside a private hospital. The Centro Hematológico has the capacity to provide blood and its by products with absolute integrity and efficiency year round.
In many cases, the treatment of a patient requires the use of blood. Besides the importance of having it always at hand, it is essential for patient and donor to have the certainty that the procedure will be done in accordance with the strictest norms of quality and sterility.

The products and services offered at the Centro Hematológico de Mexicali are:
- Whole blood and eritrocite concentrate
- Fresh frozen plasma
- Concentrated platelets
- Cryoprecipitates

Phlebotomies
We also have Plateletpheresis and Plasmapheresis services using the Baxter CS3000 Plus technology, that allows us to obtain platelettes and plasma from a donor with a frequency of every three days if necessary, without major risk to the donor or receiver. We also have the ability to obtain blood byproducts, with a yield of almost ten times the donated blood.
Our personnel is certified by the "Centro Nacional de Transfusión Sanguínea" and is supervised by a hematologist physician certified by the Mexican Board of Hematology.
