In Vitro Fertilization with Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection
Assisted reproductive technologies include many complex procedures which are used to help infertile couples to conceive their long-awaited baby. Formally any method that stimulates pregnancy can be called assisted reproductive technology, but mostly we talk about IVF (in-vitro fertilization) with ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection).
IVF is perfomed in several stages. First eggs are retrieved from a female and sperm sample donated by male patient. It is worth mentioning that to increase chance for success ovulation is stimulated to receive more eggs from a biological mother or egg donor. Obtained eggs and sperm are then used to cultivate embryos in the laboratory environment specially equipped for such purposes. In several days created embryos are transferred into the uterus of biological mother or a surrogate mother.
IVF nowadays is the most popular among assisted reproductive technologies, first it was successfully carried out in 1978. Success rate of IVF depends on a complex of many individual and medical factors and is usually about 40%.
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis
PGD is a delicate and complicated medical procedure that allows diagnosing genetic anomalies in embryos before they are transferred to the uterus. PGD is performed on separate cells of embryos created as a result of in-vitro fertilization, before they are implanted into the uterus. Thus PGD is only possible with parallel usage of assisted reproductive technologies.
Reproductive science has been using PGD method for more than 20 years, with first announcement of a healthy child born as a result of IVF with PGD dated 1990. PGD methods are developing very fast, constantly presenting new opportunities to guarantee only healthy embryos are transferred into the uterus, thus lowering risks of babies born with genetic anomalies.
PGD is not only used to detect anomalies and genetic diseases, but also to select sex of the future baby in order to balance your family. So far PGD for sex selection is not allowed in India, but New Life network provides you with possibility to carry our PGD for sex selection in Ukraine, through our partner agency.
Assisted Hatching
This method is often used when previously carried IVF attempts failed, when female patient is over 38 years old or with abnormally thick zone (embryo protein shell).
Oocyte of a human is surrounded by extracellular membrane which is called Zona Pellucida. It plays significant role in the process of fertilization as its surface is able to recognize and tie with spermatozoon. During the preimplantation development of an embryo zona pellucid is wearing thin and on the 5th-7th day after ovulation the hatching of blastocyst takes place. Hatching is one of the key events in the preimplantation development of an embryo and after it is completed embryo enters in direct contact with endometrium of the uterus.
But not always blastocyst can release itself from zona pellucida, even morphologically normal embryos can remain 'prisoners' of zona pellucida when cultivated in-vitro. Here is where assisted hatching is used to help blastocyst release from zona pellucida by way of chemical or laser intervention.
Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspiration (MESA) and Testicular Sperm Extraction (TESE)
These medical procedures allow extract sperm from testicles or epididymis. Both procedures are carried out with anesthesia and is usually performed to obtain sperm sample for in-vitro fertilization. Such procedures may be necessary in case due to some reasons there is a malfunction of a normal sperm leading out of testicles (for example as a result of obstruction after infectious disease or vasectomy). Received sperm undergoes special processing and most active spermatozoa are selected. After chemical processing such spermatozoa are activated and they are used for in-vitro fertilization procedure.
Cryopreservation
Embryos that were not used in the process of your in-vitro fertilization program can be frozen to preserve them for the future programs of yours. Only embryos that survive to the blastocyst stage are recommended for cryopreservation, they are stored in a laboratory environment in liquid nitrogen and you can use them later.
Of course, chances with using of cryopreserved embryos are lower, but from a general perspective you will not need to go through the whole process of preparation once again from scratch when you decide to continue growing your family. Also, procedures of preparing frozen embryos for transfer are easier and less expensive.
Surrogacy
Gestational surrogacy is legal in India and supported by the Indian government that is currently making further steps to ensure all sides of this process are smooth and favorable to all parties involved in the process.
A baby carried out by a gestational surrogate mother has no genetic relation to her, as biological parents eggs and sperm samples are used to create an embryo that is later transferred in the surrogate mother's uterus. Sometimes biological mother cannot provide her own eggs for her surrogacy program, but still in this case an egg from an egg donor is used.
All surrogate mothers that we work with are healthy, do not have bad habits, are between 18 and 35 years old and have at least one healthy child of their own.
Usually a surrogate mother is married and when she goes for the surrogacy program her husband signs written notarized consent according to which he agrees that his wife takes part in gestational surrogacy program and will not have any claims for the paternity of the child delivered by the surrogate mother.
Biological parents sign direct contract with a surrogate mother, and are directly n charge for her monthly fees for food, transportation expenses during the program and her final compensation in the end of the program.
Traditional surrogacy implies a surrogate mother being genetically related to the baby through her own eggs. Traditional surrogacy is not practiced by neither of New Life network centers and clinics.
Egg Donation
If for various reasons sometimes women cannot produce your own eggs to conceive your baby either yourself or in frames of a surrogacy program. The solution may be presented by egg donation procedure in the course of which an egg donor donates her healthy eggs for your infertility treatment program. Using healthy eggs from a carefully examined and prepared egg donor may significantly increase your chances for success.
All ladies willing to become egg donors undergo complex examination which includes not only all necessary medical tests, but also through psychological screening before they are allowed to enter our database and be recommended to our patients.
Egg donor information is not anonymous in India, you may choose a lady candidate who is most suitable for you according to her general parameters and her photo posted in our database.

In case you need Caucasian egg donor, we may arrange a joint program with New Life Ukraine agency where you will be assisted to find egg donor, examine her according to the prescriptions of your coordinating doctor in New Life India and send her to India to take part in your program. In this case you will be guided through the whole procedure step by step to ensure timely and accurate execution of your program, organizational and legal support of all the procedures involved.
For your convenience we offer package prices that include all range of medical and legal services that are involved in your program. Prices may change depending on additional medical procedures that you may need according to your individual case, but we always discuss every issue with you in advance before concluding the contract. After you have signed the agreement with our centre, you are not asked to pay more than the amount stated in your contract.
Total price for general surrogacy and egg donation package is 25 000 USD.
