2nd Non-Communicable Diseases in the UAE will be held in Dubai, UAE between June 04-06, 2020.
The NCDUAE 2020 Congress is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance of the United Arab Emirates and is supported by different institutions and organizations including Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, Emirates Medical Association, American Heart Association, Emirates Cardiac Society, Emirates Diabetes Society, Emirates Allergy and Respiratory Society and Regional NCD Alliance.
In the United Arab Emirates, NCDs are estimated to account for 77% of all deaths. Due to this alarming data, the leadership of the Emirates has put the NCDs at the top of its strategic plan to reduce local mortality cases. In fact, UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda aims to build a world-class health system in the country, and provide universal health coverage to protect the UAE society from non-communicable diseases.
The role of all concerned associations, civil society and academia to support this vision is also of utmost importance.
