• Reconstructive Surgery:  Our reconstructive surgical procedure is performed on abnormal structures of the body, caused by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. It is generally performed to improve functions, but may also be done to approximate a normal appearance.

Luis Suarez M.D.

Board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He studied med school in Mexico, for 6 years. Then took the national boards for General Surgery which he was accepted at the General Hospital (Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez) in Mexico City for three year as a General Surgeon. He received his diploma and is recognized by the Mexican Board of General Surgery. Then decided to postulate for Plastic Esthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, were he spent three more years of practice as a plastic surgeon. Received his diploma as a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon from the General Hospital in Mexico City.

He studied med school in Mexico for 6 years; then took the national boards for General Surgery.  He received his diploma and then decided to postulate for Urology, where he spent 3 more years of practice as a urologist. Luis Cuenca, MD
Graduated as a surgeon in 1995 and was selected to practice as a resident at the prestigious “Centro Medico National S XXI”, located in Mexico City where he simultaneously rotated in several hospitals such as Cardiology, Pediatric and Trauma hospitals.  In 1998 he obtained his degree as an anesthesiologist.  Dr. Cuenca began his professional practice at the D.I.F. and after that he moved to the Red Cross in Tijuana.  At the present moment he has acquired 4 years of experience for Plastic Surgery.

Andres Rosas, MD

My trip to Dr. Suarez to have a tummy tuck and liposuction was a wonderful experience. Of course having surgery is not pleasant but I was impressed with their professionalism and the customer service is something the United States is greatly lacking. Dr. Suarez and his staff are very knowledgeable and even though I wanted more procedures done, they advised against it. They are more interested in the quality and safety of their work than money. The cost for my surgery including the flight and hotel for both myself and husband was 3-4 thousand dollars less than it would have cost in Florida, my home. The hotel Lucerna was beautiful and very accommodating after surgery. My only regret was not stay in Mexico long enough to go shopping. I returned home 2 days after surgery. I would recommend anyone wishing to have plastic surgery to consider Dr. Suarez and / or Mexico as a very important option for both economy and services. I myself plan on returning for some more procedures when I save more money!!!

The post operative follow-up with my family physician at home was pleasing as well. My doctor who was very skeptical about the whole thing and advised me against going to Mexico was very complimentary of the Dr. Suarez’s work. I am still in the healing process at 4 weeks post surgery but am beginning to see wonderful results and coming along just fine. Nora at youmakeover.com has been there to answer any questions or concerns that I have had. She has always responded within a hour or so via e-mail and I could call her at any time. Also Dr. Suarez and his staff are only a phone call away.

If asked if I would do it again? Defiantly. Did I save money? Oh ya.

I would certainly recommend anybody looking for a competent, caring surgeon to consider Dr Suarez. I certainly will be going back for more surgery at a later date.
