PORCELAIN CROWNS

 

The best choice for a really injure teeth is without a doubt, the crowns. Because it will make your mouth look complete and even in shape and color, besides it will improve the way you chew in a most efficient way.

The crowns are fixed pieces used in cases when the tooth is a 50 % or more damage and a veneer will not help at all.

Basically the job consists in doing a complete surface to the tooth that simulates the original anatomy, restoring the resistance and eliminating the pain.

The crows are built specially for each person and stick to the teeth with special adhesives that are virtually impossible to lose it. Besides being functional and attractive they can be put on the frontal pieces or at the back.

The process of making it and putting the porcelain crown it’s very similar with the veneers, but with a little more difficult because the doctor has to remove more dental structure to replace it with porcelain which has the same resistance and quality of the veneers.

 

DENTAL IMPLANTS

 

When you lose one or more dental pieces, not only your look will be affected but the function of your mouth too, that’s why we are obligated to replace them.

If a missing tooth is not replaced the other teeth will have an overload charge that will end up damaging them. This could also give you gastric problems.

The dental implants are artificial roots that can be place in the maxilla or in the mandible creating a solid base where it can be perform either individual or a whole mouth restoration.
The implants will allow you to chew, smile and talk secure and comfortable. This is the most natural, new and healthy way to replace lost teeth.

In some cases the region where the missing dental tooth is located has no bone for the implant, if that is you case, our surgeon could do a bone graft on the areas that you need it. The quality and the quantity of that bone will determinate if the patient should have a restoration right away, or six months later.

The long procedure has two stages, first we place the implant and then six months later we place the crown. In the immediately implant, we do both procedures at the same time.

The dental implants are made of titanium because it doesn’t reject tissues and fits perfectly with the bone. At Clínica Gadea Ramirez we use only the best implants on the market such as ZIMMER, 3i or MIS.

 

PORCELAIN VENEERS

 

Some of the often problems that teeth presents are bad positioning, stains, dark coloring, fractures and can be solved through the application of porcelain veneers.

The veneers are thin sheets prepared just for your size and it sticks to the front tooth, obtaining a better appearance, younger and healthier.

In only two sessions you will not have any type of dental problem and you can brag with a beautiful smile.

The Porcelain is perfect for dental reconstruction because it’s similar to tooth enamel and its resists any kind of chewing. Plus the smooth surface prevents bacterial attack.

The porcelain veneers don’t require a special care however you should know that are not unbeatable. Besides the regular teeth cleaning you should avoid chewing hard stuff this will prevent an early deterioration.

 

WHITE FILLINGS

 

The fillings is a process that eliminates decays from affected teeth and replaces the lost structure with healing material that will recover the original shape and functions.

The white fillings are made with a special resin that can be as the same color of the tooth so nobody knows the difference; this is a huge advantage because it looks much better than black fillings or amalgams.

The new resins are free of mercury, which solves another big problem present in traditional amalgams.

Now a day technological advances make possible to rebuild dental pieces with this kind of material without telling the difference between them and the natural ones.

The fillings also prevent future decays because it reduces space for germs, of course this could only happen if the person keep a regular good hygiene.

The process begins applying small resin layers on the affected area and step by step the doctor will mold them to the form of the tooth. Then with a powerful ultraviolet light the material gets firm so the dentist can work to make it into the desire shape.

This kind of procedure generally it’s made in a one session visit. The fillings will last at least ten years, but this will change with the hygiene habits of the patient.

 

GUM SURGERY

 

Keeping your teeth clean and shiny demonstrate that you are a healthy person and that you take care of your mouth, but in some cases this is not enough to have a perfect smile.

Sometimes gums are stain or are not well proportionate and it’s becomes difficult to show them in public. Having big gums, small or even too large teeth are aesthetic problems that some people face all the time and even having them healthy doesn’t mean they can show them how they would like to.

The esthetic gums surgery allows you to correct pigmentation problems, get the right level to your gums and get even the space between teeth, providing your mouth a healthiest look and a better function.

Costa Rica is a small territory (51,100 Km2) located in Central America. It is a free country since 1821. This great tourism destination is full of biological diversity. Costa Rica borders with Panamá on the southeast, Nicaragua on the north, the Caribbean Sea on the south and the Pacific Ocean on the west.

The country has an estimated of 4.133.884 people (2007) and a demographic density of 82 inh/km2. Spanish is the official language, but in the zone of Limon, people talk English and a few other dialects too.

Catholicism is the main religion but there are also different kinds of cults that people practices without any problem since 1860.

Costa Rica is one of the countries in Latin America with more alphabetization; 95% of its population can read and write. Here the primary school and the high school are free and obligatory from 7 to 18 years old.
