Esposito notes that, even in small case studies, the treatment of patients once thought untreatable with stem cells has produced staggeringly positive results.

He explains that, prior to the operation, the aforementioned young girl suffered blockages that significantly prevented her from growing and from having the energy of a healthy child.

Scientists used the girl’s own bone marrow to create the vein, preventing her from having to take any immunosuppressive drugs; this is because her body accepted the new vein since it had her same genetic makeup, details Esposito. Since the operation, there have been no more blockages, so the girl’s vitality has returned and she has experienced a growth spurt.
