I cannot say enough about Dr. Lira's ability, knowledge and bedside manner. He is seriously a gem in the medical industry. I am from the United States but decided to travel to Mexico to have a kidney stone removed via ureteroscopy. I saved over $15,000 on surgery, imaging, prescription medications and lab work by going to Dr. Lira for this procedure rather than having it the US.

Dr. Lira spent time going over all of my questions via email and phone before I chose him as my doctor. He was very flexible on schedule and quick to respond.
Not only was his bedside manner superb, Dr. Lira gave me choices and options that allowed me to have the best experience possible. In the US, it is required that you are put fully under anesthesia for ureteroscopy. With Dr. Lira, I got to choose to have a local anesthetic and whether or not I wanted to be sedated.
He is certified in several aspects of urology including a special certification of female urology. He is extremely knowledgeable about the whole body and is not just a urologist. He understands many aspects of overall health and wellbeing.
Have I mentioned that he ACTUALLY cares? Dr. Lira is a hard worker and you can tell that he is passionate about his job. He is professional, kind, gentle and compassionate. I am so thankful I found Dr. Lira. And although I hope I do not have to have another surgery, I would gladly return to him for care in the future. -

This doctor is just as good as any doctor that I have visited throughout my life at famed Scripps Clinic in La Jolla. He is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on all the most recent technology and research. He actually cares and will patiently answer all of your questions no matter how long it takes and more importantly offer all options and the research behind each one.
Highly recommended if you want a top notch doctor who will actually care about you. -

Best Urologist in Tijuana!!!!! The doctor is well-educated and knows exactly what his doing, unlike some doctors. He puts his time and effort into explaining to you ways that can benefit you. A very well organized office! Won't regret seeing Doctor Lira. He did a great job on the surgery, it was painless and esthetically well done. I recommend 1000%.
