Ayurveda
Ayurveda, dating back 5000-10000 years is the oldest and most holistic medical system available on the planet today. The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit, "Ayur" and "veda" which means the Science of life.

Ayurveda is often referred to as the "Mother of all healing." Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages maintaining health by paying close attention to balance in one's life through right thinking, diet, lifestyle and use of herbs.

Knowledge of Ayurveda enables one to understand how to create a balance of body, mind and consciousness according to one's own individual constitution and how to make lifestyle changes to bring about and maintain this balance.

Martial Arts and Yoga
Kalaripayattu which originated in South India comes from the Sanskrit words 'kalari' which means 'place or battlefield' and payattu' which means 'to exercise in arms or practice'.

Kalaripayattu is one of the oldest martial arts in the world and draws inspiration from the raw power and strength of the majestic animal forms like that of the lion, tiger, elephant, wild boar and crocodile. This art could have originated in the jungles when hunters observed the fighting techniques of various animals.

Kerala

The beauty of Kerala is its long shoreline with serene beaches and its tranquil stretches of famous emerald backwaters. Kerala is also home to lush hill stations, exotic wildlife, waterfalls, ayurvedic health, holidays, enchanting art forms, magical festivals, exotic cuisine, historic and cultural monuments. Backwaters of Kerala: Local folklore has it that Kerala was "reclaimed" from the sea by the warrior sage Parasuraman by a throw of his battle-axe. Whatever the truth behind the legend, the fact remains that Kerala is a land with a huge necklace of canals, lagoons, lakes and rivers. These water bodies are loosely known in the local parlance as the backwaters. This peculiar landscape has had a distinct impact on the lifestyle of the people who live along the banks of these backwaters.

Boating in Kerala: Kumarakom is also a centre for houseboat cruises. Local Malayali people call these houseboats 'Kettuvallom' These are traditional country crafts over 60ft. in length which have been converted into luxury houseboats for these cruises.
