Board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Ritwick Panicker trained in three different countries: India, the United Kingdom and the United States. He earned a medical degree from Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, followed by an internal medicine residency at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. He then completed a hematology fellowship at two hospitals in the United Kingdom.
In 1988, Dr. Panicker moved to the United States. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, followed by a medical oncology fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Dr. Panicker spent the next several years as a hematologist-oncologist in two hospital-based practices in Concord, North Carolina and Logan, West Virginia. He also served as a consulting associate in the Department of Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. In October 2010, Dr. Panicker joined CTCA.
