Education:
Dr. Rafiyev Farid Sakhavat oglu was born in 1981 in Baku. In 1998, after graduating from high school with honours,
he entered the 1st Faculty of Treatment and Prevention of the Azerbaijan Medical University in the same year. In
2004, he graduated from that university with an honours diploma (No. 083636). During the years 2004-2006, he
worked as a clinical ordinator in the 1st Department of Surgical Diseases. During 2006-2009, he worked as a postgraduate student in that department. Over the years of his work, he is the author of 21 articles, 1 invention, and 3
effective proposals. In 2007, he completed "Miniinvasive surgery" and "Laparoscopic surgery" courses at "Vivantes
Humboldt Clinic" and "DrK Clinic Westend" in Germany (Berlin). Prof. He was awarded the title of "Expert of
Laparoscopic Surgery" by Dr. Ernest Kraas. In 2008, he worked as a doctor-surgeon at the "Istanbul Surgical
Hospital" clinic in Istanbul, Türkiye.
In 2011, he graduated from the "CICE" course in Clermont, France and was awarded the diploma of Prof. Bruhat.
Among his scientific works, he was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in medical sciences on the
topic "Prevention of complications of laparoscopic fundoplication" (2013).
Work experience:
From 2023 - works as the head of the Metabolic-Bariatric Surgery department at Liv Bona Dea Hospital
2015-2023 - worked as the Director of the Surgery Department at Medera Hospital
2007-2015 - was the head of the surgery department of the Uniclinic hospital
Education
In 2018, he was awarded The International Mini Gastric Bypass Surgeon of Excellence Bronze Certification.
He completed the Ircad Certificate of Training in minimal access surgery course held in Strasbourg in 2021.
In 2023, he completed the Bariatric Redo Masterclass training program in Istanbul.

I went to Bona Dea for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. I could have got it done in UK for free but they take too long, Bona Dea did it very quickly after I was tested and discussed with consultant Emin Mammadov, who carried out the prostatectomy surgery. The price was very reasonable. Most importantly, the treatment was successful, and I was doing my job, which is quite physical sometimes, 3 months later, with no diapers!! Emin's advise to remove the prostate, rather than get therapy, was the best idea...I have friends who still have after effects of therapy after 4 years. My PSA was <0.04 after 6 weeks, down from 21. The hospital is clean with modern equipment (although no robotic prostatectomy). The surgery after-care was caring, and I was out after 5 days. My wound is almost invisible now.

The doctors and nurses at Bona Dea Baku are very reliable, respectful, caring, and friendly. My father would not be alive today if it had not been for the excellent care he received, and the appropriate medical decisions made during his serious illness.

The beautiful, the best, the accurate, 5 star at all, I met there and I found nothing bad, all behave respected, Dr. Mirzəyev is the best in behavior, being honest with patient. I like it. The staff are ready for any need you want. Are very Friendly.

I had an issue in my right eye while I was in the airplane.. it was very red and feeling like there is a sharp object inside.. I booked an appointment before I went there. The receptionists were very helpful.. they even help me with translating in the examination room. The doctor was excellent and she speaks English.. she treated my eye instantly and I left her room feeling perfectly fine. The Hospital waiting area looks gorgeous and clean. I totally recommend it.

Firstly,the hospital looks like hotel more than hospital and it is good for patients to feel less stress for their illness. Secondly,unlike other hospitals in Baku this hospital is clean and there is a praying room for muslim and non muslim patients and guests,I and my family members liked this feature.
