After a accident we had a 9hours surgery and many days at the hospital. Doctors and medical care is excelent with high quality. Service staff are nice and we had a nice stay. Administration was sometime annoying but that is mabye standard for Mexico and a few practical issues can be improved. Huge thanks to all for saving my wifes life and make it possible to come back to normal life sooner or later!

My husband had a severe allergic reaction and we went to the ER at Costamed. I am so grateful--they saw him quickly, they gave him appropriate treatment, and they released us without unnecessary ado. The nurses were kind and polite, and so was the doctor and the administrator. Frankly, I've had terrible hospital experiences in Florida, and I am very grateful this happened in here instead. Excellent professional service. Make no mistake, this is a private hospital, so there is a cost for everything. As Canadians who really have little idea what healthcare costs, we thought our bill was reasonable. My wife saw a doctor, had an ultrasound done and lab tests. The results were emailed to us the next day(in English) and we were able to send them to our doctor at home for follow up. The hospital is spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only (very small) complaint was the temperature of the hospital - it was cold! Bring a sweater and you will be fine…

While on a dive trip to Cozumel, my husband became seriously ill and was hospitalized at Costamed. He received excellent treatment. This review is about the patient services people, particularly Jesus Pineda and Israel Cuerca, who were so helpful. My phone would not work and Jesus let me use his phone to contact my bank. He was a very calming influence at a trying time. All the staff was kind and helpful but these two stand out, especially Jesus.

I’m an American, living in San Francisco and accustomed to high level of medical care. My father developed an infection and the hotel recommended this hospital. Great experience. Very clean, modern and professional. Similar to an urgent care in the US. You pay out of pocket but prices are relatively reasonable. Everyone speaks English. I wasn’t sure what to expect so hope this review is comforting if you need to see a doctor while traveling.

In February, my significant other had a cardiac arrest while staying at the Palace resort, Cozumel. With help of staff, we kept him alive with CPR. The ambulance was professional. The Costamed hospital is small, but completely modern and efficient and clean hospital. The doctors speak English as 2nd language very well. A cardiologist saved my life partners life with emergency stent surgery. The neurologist came to made sure there was no brain damage. They kept him in ICU and moved into a room for one week. We flew home private. In the end they took Rod’s insurance. Rod has absolutely no side effects. Was back to normal Six months later! A miracle. And, The staff was kind & helpful. However, you do need to drop down a credit big value card while they validate your insurance.

Our second stop for an emergency after the first hospital did not have any doctors until late in the day.
We got the help we needed within a reasonable waiting time. Clean up, local anesthesia, stitches and medication. Overall a good experience and if I ever need urgent help again, I will be going here immediately.
