Where we are?
Ciudad Juarez is in the northern part of Mexico just in the middle. It is a city and seat of the municipality of Juarez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.

Intragastric Balloon  
A new way of "lifestyle". A balloon filled with air that is colocated inside the stomach by endoscopy. It occupiews an space on the stomach, giving a certain volume device. Tha intragastric balloon gives a sensation of saciety. It is free-floating, so the balloon permits food passes well to the small bowel. The balloon is introduced by mouth with an endoscope to the stomach. The person is under a deeper sedation by an anesthesiologist. The surgeon has a direct visualization to ensure proper placement and prevent any complications. When the balloon is well places in the stomach, it is filled with air.

Laparoscopic Gastric Band
This procedure helps to loose weight throught and adjustable band placed around the sotmach. This creates a small pouch at the top of the stomach that holds approximately up to 3oz of food each meal.

The band slows the passage of food from the pouch to the lower part of the sotmach. The upper part of the stomach is filled with small portions of  food.  It helps tor register sasiety and feel no hunger. That helps patients to be hungry less often, eat small portions and to feel full quickly. Here is how weight loss comes over time.

How it works?
The band is filled throught the port that is below the skin. With a saline solution injection, the band's inner surface can be inflated or deflated. When the band is filled, the diameter of band  tightens the stomach and this makes patients to meet their individuals needs.The adjustable band surgery helps to loose up to 50% of patient's weight.

Laparoscopic Gastric Sleeve
The sleeve gastrectomy is a new surgical procedure. It is a restrictive surgery that permanently reduces the size of the stomach by 80%. Cutting this 80-85% of the stomach, it gives the sleeve or tube shape. This 80% of the stomas is removed and taken out of the body.The  remaining part of stomach holds about 60 up to  150cc. The sleeve gastrectomy leaves the openings intact. That is why, it makes a sure option for patients with very high BMI. It is good too for those with chronic medical problems like high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol. Also gastric sleeve can be performed for those patients with anemia, Crohn´s disease and osteoporosis.The stomach functions normally. It just holds less food. That is why patients eat small food portions. By removing most of the stomach, the Ghrelin Hormones are cut out with the removed stomach. These HORMONES  stimulate HUNGRY!!!

Purposes
The sleeve gastrectomy functions for super obese people as same as people with BMI  of 30+. It is expected to lose 60 to 80% of their excess body weight.  It will take one or two years to reach this weight loss.Persons who are super obese, the sleeve surgery is the first option. In a second time, they are programed to complete a Bypass.

Intragastric Balloon by Endoscopy
This is not a surgical procedure, this is made by endoscopy. With an endoscope the surgeon puts the balloon in the mouth and it is placed inside the stomach, then it is insuflated.  This helps to loose up to 40lb. This does not require to stay at the hospital, it is done within 20 minutes.
