Common questions about this procedure

What specific procedure does Gary get in the video?

Gary undergoes an All-on-4 surgery at Care Smile Center. The procedure involves securing a full arch of artificial teeth to dental implants, replacing his natural teeth and restoring his ability to bite and chew comfortably.

What materials are used for the dental arches?

Per the specialist in the video, Care Smile Center fabricates the lower arch using PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) layered over a strong titanium bar. Both arches feature an internal titanium frame that connects directly to the implants.

Does the upper dental arch cover the roof of the mouth?

No, the upper All-on-4 prosthetic at Care Smile Center does not cover the palate. The dentist explains that this palateless design allows patients to fully taste their food, which is a major advantage over traditional dentures.

How much does All-on-4 surgery cost?

The video does not provide Care Smile Center's exact price. However, the dentist estimates that a similar full-mouth restoration in the United States would cost around $40,000 to $50,000, or roughly $25,000 per arch. Always confirm current pricing directly with the clinic.

What makes this clinic different from typical US providers?

Gary notes that Care Smile Center operates a high-tech facility where everything, including advanced laboratory work, is completed in one building. The dentist adds that many US clinics have to send lab work out to external third parties.

Are there risks associated with All-on-4 surgery?

Like any major dental surgery, All-on-4 implants carry inherent risks, including infection, implant failure, or complications with anesthesia. The video notes Gary had serious problems that needed correcting first. Always consult a qualified dental professional to assess your specific eligibility and health risks.

It was a challenge for us too, you know? Yeah, it was not easy for us. I thought you guys were used to everything.

Well, I'm feeling pretty good. I'm glad that we're getting close to the end. It's taken a while, but I evidently had some serious problems that had to be corrected, and he's done a good job correcting him.

I just gotta get a chance to use my new teeth now. Yeah, right now you can eat almost everything, you know? I can chew rocks now. Yeah, you can chew rocks. (Laughter)

It's a big change between having your own palate, you know? Like when you have the plate there, the taste from the food, everything is... The food's going to be a lot better now that I can taste it with my upper palate.

This is an All 4 upper. The lower has a titanium bar with the PMMA. I'm going to show you. It has a titanium frame inside, directly connected to the implants.

What do you think this would have cost me in the States? I think a lot of money. I don't know. I think we're like 40 to 50s, 25 each arch. But I was very concerned in your case specifically. And I wanted to do it the best way we can do it. So that's why. I appreciate that.

I didn't expect-- so it's high tech. You've got a really high tech situation here where you've done everything in one building. Yeah, we have everything. That's amazing. Yeah, that's why most of the patients we have here, when they go through the lab and see the machines, it's like in the States, they don't have that. They send it somewhere else.

I'm impressed. I would recommend you to anybody. OK. We're going to really appreciate that. You did a good job. I love my new teeth.
