Prof. Zehra Nese Kavak is geboren in Istanbul en studeerde in 1986 af aan de Cerrahpasa School of Medicine. In 1990 en 1991 werkte ze in het St. Thomas's Hospital in Londen, Engeland, voor haar specialisatie. In 1996 werd ze universitair hoofddocent aan de Marmara University School of Medicine. Tussen 2000 en 2001 werkte ze met tussenpozen in het King's College Hospital in Londen aan de afdeling perinatologie.
Ze behaalde haar diploma foetale geneeskunde aan het King's College Hospital in Londen (2004). In 2001 richtte ze de afdeling perinatologie op aan de Marmara University School of Medicine Hospital. In datzelfde jaar werd ze hoogleraar en benoemd tot hoofdarts van het ziekenhuis. Tussen 2001 en 2005 was ze hoofdarts van het Marmara University Hospital. Tussen 2002 en 2006 was ze assistent-kanselier van de Marmara University.
In 2002 werd ze verkozen tot hoofd van de afdeling Verloskunde en Gynaecologie aan de Marmara University School of Medicine, een functie die ze twee termijnen vervulde. Van 2001 tot 2011 was ze hoofd van de afdeling Perinatologie. Prof. Kavak heeft 70 artikelen gepubliceerd in internationale vaktijdschriften, 83 artikelen in nationale vaktijdschriften, in totaal 153 artikelen en 1444 citaties van deze publicaties. Onder haar begeleiding voltooide ze 11 assistent-dissertaties en gaf ze 120 artikelen/presentaties op nationale en internationale wetenschappelijke bijeenkomsten en publiceerde ze in congresverslagen.
Ze is uitgenodigd om te spreken op 112 internationale bijeenkomsten in diverse landen wereldwijd. Daarnaast heeft prof. Kavak 23 post-specialistische certificaten in het buitenland behaald in perinatologie. Ze is tevens lid van de redactieraad van talloze nationale en internationale wetenschappelijke tijdschriften. Ze is actief als gynaecoloog en perinatoloog in het Academisch Ziekenhuis van Istanbul, Turkije.
Ze werd in 2004 verkozen tot lid van de World Academy of Arts and Science, opgericht door Einstein en Oppenheimer, en in 2009 tot lid van de raad van bestuur van diezelfde academie. Ze is de eerste Turkse persoon die in deze functies is gekozen. Met haar uitgebreide werk in de perinatologie is prof. Kavak in september 2005 de eerste Turkse arts die tot bestuurslid van de World Association of Perinatology is gekozen.
In oktober 2007 werd ze verkozen tot lid van de International Academy of Perinatal Medicine, een van de meest gerespecteerde organisaties in de verloskunde. Ze is bestuurslid van de Fetus as a Patient Society (2006). Haar belangrijkste onderzoeksgebied is het gebruik van 3D-4D-echografie en invasieve procedures tijdens de zwangerschap. Prof. Kavak is medeauteur van 13 internationale titels, waarvan 8 in het Engels, 3 in het Spaans en 1 in het Turks. Ze heeft ook 2 boeken gepubliceerd in het Engels en Spaans en 1 in het Turks.
In 2007 werd ze uitgenodigd om als universitair hoofddocent les te geven aan Cornell University in New York City en gaf ze les als universitair docent. Op 15 september 2017 benoemde Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, president van Turkije, prof. dr. Zehra Nese Kavak tot het oprichtende rectoraat van de Universiteit Istanbul Kent.

I attended here for Hair Transplants. My liaison contact was Burak Yildirim, international manager for the hospital. He was outstanding and so professional. Everything was arranged perfectly and communication was quick and comprehensive. On day of procedure, I was impressed with the hospital and all staff. I would have no hesitation to recommend Academic Hospital.

I am going to give this hospital 5 out of 5 stars. The staff did an excellent job. I was in the hospital for four days after my liposuction. The biggest complaint I have is that there was NO circulating air in the room. It was extremely hot in my room all the time and I had to have the window open. Even then it was hot. I really needed to have a fan because I was burning up. Also, the call light did not work in my room. But overall it's a good hospital. Make fans available to patients, because the air in the rooms doesn't move at all.

Academic hospital cared so well for me. I would like to thank each and everyone of medical , nursing team, catering staff , house keepers & reception staff. ALL hospital staff there work so hard and are so helpful, polite & friendly.
I thank you ALL so much for all of those staff who was involved my surgery, & treatment plan.
Also I have positive shout out for Burak whom was my first point of contact thoughout . He is the captain of consultancy he was available 24/7. Burak sorted everything! He is 110 % trust worthy. So thank you Burak!
Dr Suphan Tunc was my consultant surgeon. She is amazing so lovely kind & caring ! I was able to communicate with Dr Suphan so well. Even though I am from the UK & deep Yorkshire! Can not thank her and the team there enough.
The only thing we had a few problems with was transport but this got better once i spoke to Burak!
I fully recommend Accademic.

I had rhinoplasty with op dr selcuk yazen. He is really amazing. So gentle, caring and kind. He is a perfectionist and did exactly what I asked for, best decision I ever made! The hospital is so clean and modern. The nurses and staff are also so nice and attentive. The nurses who took care of me were so lovely I never had such good treatment. Highly recommend I would have no worries coming here!

Amazing experience with plastic plastic sergeant op.dr.Selcuk Yazan . I’m 45 years old and I decided to do my eye lift surgery.First I have amazing cooperation with doctors team Lela who was talking with me on what’s up who arrange date appointment with the doctor consultation and yes we did the surgery before the surgery they give you private apartment all your belongings cell phones clothing are in apartment apartment it’s closed while you’re on a surgery after surgery you have nurse who is with you on every 15 min putting cold ice massage face…. Hospital it’s nice clean … And the next day you’re home recovering. How I feel better and 10 years younger.
