[00:00] I first came here with a 267 PSA, which means it's what is called a diagnosis, a prostate cancer stage 4A. That means that the cancer has gone outside of the capsule and so I was beginning to develop a lymph node on my right rib.
[00:28] Scary stuff. One realizes that if one doesn't do something quickly, uh, one may not be around.
[00:41] My name is Imam Alfred Muhammad. I'm from Linden, New Jersey, by the way of New York City, and I came here with a diagnosis of prostate cancer stage 4.
[00:55] I was quietly depressed. I didn't acknowledge it. I was down, but I was still upbeat and optimistic. I looked around at various places to go and I chose Immunity Treatment Center.
[01:14] Well, I had spoken with maybe seven or eight physicians in the area and, uh, upon talking with the staff here, first I knew they were knowledgeable, they were compassionate, and I also researched the treatment plan, so I knew what the treatment plans were.
[01:35] But another thing was that I had a sign from God. I looked spiritually, was talking to a lady that does a lot of research. She said, I'm thinking about going down to ITC and she said, 'Oh, talk to Dr. Bautista.' And that was a sign. I remember I was on my porch, very depressed, she said I just saw him in Miami at a cancer conference.
[02:02] I have never met a religious or physician that was more compassionate and understanding. He looked me in the eye and said that we can help you. And I felt a spirit coming from him. And he has a very sincere face and, you know, I know a fake when I see one and I saw a real human being.
[02:32] Non-invasive, not painful. I don't happen to have a fear of injections, so, and the nurses are just... they on a scale of 1 to 9, they are a 12. It's a very relaxed family life. I feel like I'm nurtured as a baby. Seriously, I never, you know... haven't been one of taking care of a lot of people including six children, it feels good to know all I have to do is get to the clinic and whatever my physical and psychological needs are, they are going to be met.
[03:24] The first week, my numbers went down to 125. I also came down here with about a 500 glucose level, sugar level. And within one week, everything had normalized and my PSA had gone down by 50% to 125.
[03:44] Feel great. First, I feel convinced I'm going to live. Two, I have a quality of life. And three, look out world, I don't know what they may do. There may be another Alfred Muhammad in the making. But needless to say, I am very happy. I feel good.
[04:08] It's just a good feeling to know that you are not just chasing a cloud because usually clouds follow with a storm. And I have chased a rainbow and the sunlight is coming to my life.
[04:30] I love Tijuana. I have walked around Tijuana and let me give you all a secret folks, as soon as I reach retirement I will be moving to Tijuana. It's safe, I walked around Tijuana, I walked to the clinic, I usually go for a walk.
[04:50] The shops, everybody is friendly. They have prompted me to learn Spanish, Español. And I have begun to learn Spanish, probably got about 150 words. When I return, I plan to return for Thanksgiving for more treatment and I expect to speak Español mucho and comprehend Español mucho.
[05:20] My message would be first, call the center. Talk to the physicians, they are not salespeople. They will really give you a realistic diagnosis and I would get off my behind and I would come straight to Tijuana. It's right to San Diego, next to San Diego, California and five minutes you're here at the clinic.
[05:42] The hotels are great, the accommodations and apartments, if you have your family and companion, is phenomenal. And you have a very supportive and loving staff that really wants to see you progress.
