I have chronic L5-S1 disc issues from years in the military doing airborne jumps, and while staying in Medellín, I decided to give stem cell therapy a shot. The team at Stem Cells Colombia was professional, attentive, and communicated clearly throughout the process.

The facility was clean and modern, with experienced nurses and doctors who made everything smooth. I received 20 million stem cells, PRP, and exosomes under twilight sedation. The first day was rough especially in my lower left back and down my leg due to preexisting nerve contact, but by the next morning, I already noticed improved mobility.

It’s not a miracle fix, but it’s a legitimate medical procedure backed by great care. If you’re dealing with chronic disc issues and want to avoid surgery, this is absolutely worth considering. I’ll update this review in a few weeks, but so far I’m glad I made the decision.

I had a treatment done at Stem Cells Colombia, and I’ve had some time to reflect on the experience. I would like to give them 5 stars but honestly I don’t feel like it’s justified.. Over all it was ok.

. The biggest problem i encountered was never seeing a doctor in person. I had an online consultation and it didn’t really add any value to the treatment. They told me the cost of this consultation would be deducted from the treatment and I ended up paying for it. I really wanted to review my MRI with someone in person and was pretty insistent on this.

I had a Panamanian doctor to review my MRI before going to Colombia and took some photos of it. When I sent these photos to Stem Cells Colombia a doctor must of seen them because my treatment was changed. I’m happy it was changed because it was more in line with the treatment recommended by the Panamanian doctor. I’ll admit my MRI situation was a bit of a mess but I got the impression that seeing a doctor wasn’t going to happen in Colombia.

I’m sure I got a good treatment but leading up to it there was lots of confusion. They provided a document that certified the cells and the procedure undertaken(after the procedure). But going into it I felt blind. I was also sent home after the treatment without a prescription for painkillers, this was solved quickly but probably should have been taken care of before the procedure.

I booked my own accommodations and stayed near El Tesoro mall getting around was easy and the facilities were nice. But maybe this led to some confusion with the staff.

I’m a little bit disappointed that the day after the treatment, they were very insistent on a review. I was caught off guard by the pain and simply burnt out after getting my lower back done. The staff were nice and I’m grateful to have them around but they aren’t trained nurses or doctors. I think my experience can be a opportunity for them learn from.

This company sent me a Dr, Adolfo, and Dr Adolfo gave me medical treatments and did not provide me any invoices and he wanted me to take medicines with out any medical reciept. I did not take anything. And this company ask me to make 2 payment, and when they did. They asked me to make payments to the directly. I made payments to Dr Adolfo and last nights treatments he did not give me any medical receipts and I paid Dr Adolfo almost 1000 usd.

This company, is working with Dr Adolfo and he wanted to send me laurelas to do exsomes. Sounds very suspicious.

This is what I recommend if your in Colombia, only do stem cells at bio excellerator only. All these companies going to them is risking your life and mental health. I am an American citizen. They also now have stem cells in Miami, and stem cell in New York. And stem cells in many places. Call them and check prices before going to Colombia for stem cells. You really don’t know what your paying for.

This place is super amazing I had my stem cells done here. I would recommend to anyone including my own mother. First of all I had a really bad car accident which her my neck and I was too afraid to get surgery so I decided to look outside the country I looked at a few different countries then I a few different stem cell facilities didn't want to take the risk of doing anything on my neck. So I found these guys and they literally walk you every step of the way go pick you up at the airport as well as help you book your hotel rooms if needed in the hotel is located at their main clinic so you don't really need to go anywhere and there's always somebody who speaks English next to everyone to help you throughout the whole process My experience was shockingly amazing, they even send a nurse to come to our room or place to draw blood and give you medication at ur place or room so you don't need to deal with going back and fourth as much the doctor is super amazing as well I recommend I send them any documentation like MRIs and stuff to help coordinate a price and they will assess that before you even make your trip. I flew from Midwest America to Medellian Colombia to have Stem Cell injections on my scalp & face.

Pros:
1. First class treatment from start to finish. Meaning I was picked up at the airport. Taken to an extremely nice hotel with a ton of amenities. Met gracefully the day of my procedure. And had wonderful hospitality throughout. The hotel was awesome. Good food. Very friendly people. Mia was extremely friendly and did a wonderful job coordinating my arrival, my stay and departure.

Con’s:
1. There was a language barrier or communication issue for my hair procedure. I’m from America and can only speak English. The doctor, the day of the procedure only spoke Spanish. I went there for stem cell treatment in my thinning areas on top of my head. Along with my face. The issue I had was the doctor started off by treating the lower back of my head then the areas that needed it the most. The doctor spent more time on the lower back of my head where my hair was growing the thickest rather then sticking to the areas that were thinning the most which was the main reason I flew to Colombia. I didn’t want stem cell injections on the bottom of back of my head at all. I had no idea why the doctor was even doing that area because it didn’t need treatment as it was the thickest area on my head. I had explained I had a Fue transplant and I wanted the extraction area on the top of the back of my head to have stem cell injections too. But instead the doctor focused a lot in the beginning on the bottom half of the back of my head. It didn’t make any sense to me. Mia explained to the doctor what I wanted and left the room during my hair procedure and her assistant was in there but really didn’t have any clue what I wanted (her assistant was very nice & sweet). Her and Mia both tried to make me feel comfortable during the procedures. But I felt as if the doctor didn’t understand why I was even there exactly when it came to my hair procedure. I feel as if I should have only been in the room with the doctor and a translator so I could have had clear communication on exactly what was going to happen. I tried explaining to Mia where I had my hair extraction from from my last surgery and I believe she told the doctor, but the doctor didn’t understand apparently . I’m not saying the doctor was bad . I’m just saying there was a communication issue and I wish the hair procedure would have went differently. I had my facial stem cells injected first. And they told me to protect my face and not to sleep on it. However they immediately put me face down on the table to inject stem cells in the back of my head in the area I didn’t need, which once again, I didn’t understand why because now I’m worried they may have gotten damaged. So with my hair procedure, I was disappointed however I will be waiting to see if there are results and if there are results in the next 3-6 months I will certainly return. I am just voicing my experience as I was displeased with my hair procedures not the face. Oh, and the doctor also did my lips as well and did a wonderful job. I wish everyone the best of luck.

I cannot say enough good things about my overall experience with Stemcells of Colombia. I am a Type 1 diabetic and have been so most of my life, I am 61. I use an insulin pump (Omnipod) and a CGM (Dexcom 7) and I also have a diabetic alert dog. I have struggled for many years with highs and lows and have had my A1c all over the board from 5.4 to 9.5. Since my treatment my blood sugar has started to stabilize and I have had zero highs since my treatment. I have had a few lows only because I am adjusting my Basal programs on my pump. Since my treatment my glucose has averaged 89, which is crazy. I know I will never be cured from this condition but if I can get the help to avoid the roller coaster ride it is 100% with it. Still have a long journey but the path is now paved with asphalt instead of boulders. My results will not be the same for everyone but if you follow their plan and take care of your diet and get plenty of regular exercise I am confident you to will see improvements.This organization has been nothing short of fantastic and I highly recommend them. The first thought that comes to mind when writing this review is Teamwork makes the Dream work! Having Karen as my primary point of contact she coordinated my entire visit including appointments with all members of the team from my driver Jamie that picked me up at the airport to all the individuals that met me at the hotel and escorted me to appointments to all the medical staff that made sure all was in order for my stem cell treatment. I really started to feel like a VIP and actually I was treated like a VIP from start to finish. I say this because living in the states and tri state area there are just too many people and obstacles for healthcare professionals to dedicate such time and attention to ones needs. What was also very noticeable was their punctuality and the cleanliness of all of the facilities. I mean it was very noticeable how everything was new and so clean looking. Again in the states there are facilities that are simply old and not maintained from esthetics to actual cleanliness. I was definitely in a modern medical environment as well as staying at a beautiful hotel all coordinated by Stem Cell Columbia. I also wanted to wait 3 months to leave my review from the time of my injection to be able to provide feedback on how well it worked. Generally it needs 3-6 month but I can say that within the first week my hip felt better after the swelling went down from the initial injection. It felt so much better I tried to do some strenuous exercises after 2 weeks ( it set me back 2 weeks because my hip became a little swollen again). I do not recommend trying to recover too fast it does not work that way! Follow the plan end to end rest and follow instructions of the physical therapist assigned to your case and after 3 months you will be happy with the results being pain free! I look forward to my next 3 months as I continue extending my range of motion at the proper pace. After the 6 months I will get another MRI to compare my hip joint and if necessary receive another injection as I am satisfied with the outcome and not having surgery, cortisone shots or a hip replacement at this point in my life. I waited a full year before posting this review because I wanted to see what my long-term results would be before sharing my experience.

I traveled to Stem Cells Colombia for hair restoration treatment and initially saw some improvement. However, I was also given hair-growth medication as part of the treatment. After I stopped taking the medication, I gradually lost the results I had gained & affected my ‘sex drive’ due the Medication they prescribed but didn’t explain this would happen.

Looking back after a year, I cannot confidently attribute my hair-growth results to the stem cell treatment itself because the medication appears to have played a major role. Once the medication was discontinued, the improvements did not last in my case.

I believe potential patients should ask detailed questions about the role of medications, what results can realistically be expected, and whether ongoing medication is required to maintain those results.

Based on my personal experience and my results over the course of a full year, I do not recommend Stem Cells Colombia for hair growth. Others may have different experiences, but this was mine.

I had an amazing experience at stem cells Colombia. The experience started before I arrived in Medellin, with Mia answering all of my questions with knowledgeable responses in a timely manner.

I arrived at the airport and their driver Omar was there to pick me up. Not only was Omar on time, but he was there early and waited for me as my plain was delayed. Omar dropped me off at the hotel and was there to get me the next day. They have a hotel that is in the facility, but I had already booked another hotel, and there was no problem.

The next day when Omar picked me up he took me to the facility where Mia was there waiting to meet me. She explained in detail every step of the procedure and what I can expect. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Depending on the treatments that you do they have specialist for each. This is not a one person show. They work with some of the leaders in their fields to ensure you are taken care of.

Medellin is a beautiful city with a lot of great food and amazing culture. The people are great and treat you very well.

I had a wonderful experience at StemcellsColumbia. From the very start Mia was incredibly organized and is a great communicator. I speak zero Spanish and this was not an issue as she is fluent in English. I was somewhat cautious due to safety but after being here I never felt any issues at all. The hotel is great and the mall has a lot of options for great food and things to do on your downtime. The country is beautiful and the people are very friendly. The process and procedures went exactly as planned. It was not painful and I’m looking forward to seeing my results in the coming months. I had stem cell iv therapy along with exosomes and hyperbaric chamber on 3 days and 14 injections in neck, back and hip. I have researched the process for 3 years as my spinal stenosis and arthritis was getting worse. I will come here again if needed.

World class experience. Mía was there every step of the way from coordinating the hotel reservation, airport pick up, treatment details. She explained the procedure and very knowledgeable about the topic and passionate about this treatment. The location of the hotel and clinic was very close and the mall connected to the hotel made it very easy to navigate. The clinical staff was very friendly and nice. My Dr. was friendly and nice. She explained to me each step of the procedure and addressed inflammation found on the day of the procedure as well as the standard injection site for my knees. From start to finish, Stem Cells Columbia was remarkable. Mia handled everything in advance making the trip very easy. She was waiting for us at the airport with multiple drivers to transport our group. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in was easy, rooms were spacious, modern, and clean. The attached mall seems endless and has something for everyone.
For our treatments, Mia met us each morning and walked us to the Medical Tower which is at the far end of the mall. Very easy to walk and you can even grab coffee on the way.
Between the 6 people in our group, we had a variety of joints, IVs, P shots, and facial rejuvenatiion. All procedures went well with but with the expected soreness afterwards.
In our free time, Mia arranged a driver and tour guide to show us the beautiful countryside and towns. From ages 14-81 everyone was enjoying the vacation.
We are back home and feeling better than before, getting better and stronger each day.
If you are hesitant to go to Medellín, don’t be. If you are hesitant to use Stem Cells Columbia, don’t be! It was a great experience and family vacation all in one!

I really enjoyed STC. The ladies in the clinic were friendly, knowledgeable and all very pretty. The Doctors really appeared to care for the patients. It truly helped that they spoke english fluently. Dr. Trujillo was exceptional. The liaison was the most helpful and a delight to be with for my short stay.
