A year after that unfortunate experience, I decided to have another operation. Fortunately, I found Dr. Rodrigo Ávila, who, upon learning about my case, recommended another operation to remove the hernia. Afraid, I agreed.

Today, 12 days after my surgery, I can say it was one of the best decisions of my life. The pain has noticeably decreased, and my calf is slowly responding. Dr. Ávila always spoke clearly to me: he explained that, due to the degree of damage caused by the first surgery, I probably wouldn\'t recover 100% of my function, but there would be improvement.
