I came to this clinic for Botox to treat TMJ, specifically requesting a low dose targeted at my masseter and temporalis muscles. I explicitly told the doctor not to inject me with 100 units, yet he completely ignored my concerns and did whatever he wanted. Now, my cheeks and other areas of my face are frozen, making it difficult to move my face naturally.

I have had TMJ Botox before in much smaller doses, and this NEVER happened. This indicates that either too much product was used, or it was injected incorrectly. When a patient clearly communicates their preferences, a doctor should respect that instead of imposing their own opinion at the patient’s expense.

Instead of taking responsibility, the clinic dismissed my concerns and told me it would “get better with time.” That is NOT an acceptable response to medical negligence. I now have to wait months for the Botox to wear off and deal with facial asymmetry and discomfort in the meantime.
