A beautiful spot perched on a hill outside Bologna. A rambling property with excellent pools and spa. Nice rooms, while a bit on the small side, are comfortable and well-appointed. In general our stay was wonderful and normally I’d rate it five stars. However, the staff at the restaurant and bar - particularly the head waiter - were unwelcoming, cold, and at times borderline rude. It was a shame that our stay was marred by unpleasant interactions with these staff members, particularly since other staff (front desk, spa) were welcoming and warm.
