Intradiscal Ozone Therapy

The treatment of these disorders includes a minimally invasive method - intradiscal ozone therapy. Ozone therapy treats the protrusion of the disc, as well as the herniated disc.

The procedure consists of an intervertebral disc puncture, where the doctor introduces a device with a needle to the affected intervertebral disc. This intervention is very easy and takes less than half an hour. The patient is conscious throughout the therapy, being under local anesthesia.

Transforaminal Nerve Root Block

A transforaminal nerve root block is a method used to treat neck and back pain. It can also be successfully used to diagnose the specific source of nerve pain. The nerve root may become inflamed due to irritation from arthritis, disc herniation or rupture or spinal stenosis. The procedure involves injecting anti-inflammatory (steroid) medication near the nerve root as it exits the spinal column.
