On day 1 and day 2, the endocrinologist and nutritionist will examine the patient and his or her file in the clinic, while nurses will give the preparatory medications. We call this phase the Pre-Lab stage.
On day 3, The bone marrow collection stage will be accomplished at the hospital and the aspiration will be done from the patient's pelvic bone under local anaesthesia or sedation when requested. The patient may request to stay at the hospital if he or she wishes.
On day 4, the patient will have a femoral or radial approach catheter and stem cells will be injected in the body at the needed places.
On day 5, the patient will be discharged home after a main period of postoperative control and a thorough discussion with the physicians.
Notes: our driver will take the patient to the preparation center, to the hospital and to the hotel or airport last day. The patient doesn't pay for this medical transport.
