This hospital is not handycap accessible at all staff is not friendly, you need to explain to every single employee what is your disability and why due you need to use the elevator. Room wise it ok but they need to turn on the AC or Heating system for you so if you get cold you need to wait until someone comes and assists you with that. Patients food is very limited and juice is more water than juice . Bad communication you due not get inform nothing on your patient after 5-6 hours of patiently waiting on a procedure that should have lasted less than an hour. I wouldn't recommend this place, parking super limited ,also doors by the way close before 9:00 pm. I wouldn't recommend this place look for more accessible options if I would have known all this inconveniences I would have looked for a better option

This doctor disfigured, gaslit and ghosted me. Dr Acosta gave me a BBL which involved liposuction. It gave me permanent lumps on my mid area He neither warned me of this risk, nor was it stated in the document I signed. When I left his office he told me to get lymphatic massages for the fibroids. I followed his instructions exactly, but it was ineffective. When I later contacted him about this, he told me that they weren’t fibroids and created a false narrative that this occurred because I didn’t follow his advice which was a blatant lie We had agreed in advance that I was to have 3 treatments with him: the second a BBL and the third a tummy tuck. He never advised me not to get a BBL or lipo (required for BBL). When I asked him to clarify,he told me that he’d stated that the proper treatment for this was a tummy tuck, which made no sense whatsoever. He refused to clarify what “this” even was. A tummy tuck in no way enhances the buttocks. I then sent him screenshots of every conversation we’d ever had, illustrating that at no time had he advised against the BBL. Since we were still slated to get the 3rd procedure (the tuck) I asked what he would do to treat these lumps during that time. No matter how many times I asked (even begged) I asked for specificity, he gave me cryptic, non-specific answers. He named procedures but refused to explain what they meant or what the risks were. When I initially approached him about this, it wasn’t to blame him. I just wanted a reasonable solution, yet he was defensive, manipulative, and vague from the very beginning and refused to provide me with any. These horrible lumps only appeared after the lipo. There is no other possible cause. He said it was loose skin which was expected. To be clear, IT IS NOT LOOSE SKIN. When I pull the skin back the hard lumps are still there, clear as day. The more I attempted to reach a coherent resolution, the more contentious and defensive he became; constantly deflecting, avoiding, and using cryptic rhetoric. He constantly gas-lit me and even questioned my mental health. It soon became apparent that he didn’t actually have a solution, or didn’t want to do what was necessary to resolve the problem, which is why he desperately tried to project the blame onto me. The last we spoke, he still agreed to see me for the third procedure which was part of our initial agreement, even though a resolution still had not been established. It was so stressful and still causes me extreme anxiety to this day. Then he just disappeared. For 6 months now I have tried politely and diplomatically to reach out to him, repeatedly explaining that I didn’t want to have to do this review but would do so if he didn’t respond. I was far more patient than I should have been. Clearly, he didn’t think I’d follow through Pictures don’t lie and there appears to be a pattern here, despite his high rating. I did a little digging and read a review by someone who stated that he had agreed to do a procedure on her, but when she asked him to be clear about the risks, he backed out of the arrangement. He obviously doesn’t have much respect for the hippocratic oath. The first procedure I got with him was a facelift, which went well and he seemed like a very nice person. Little did I know that if something were to go sideways, his MO would be to blame the victim and offer no empathy or clear solution. It should also be noted that he neglected to mention until after the 3rd day, that I should not sit on my butt. The first 6 weeks are the most important but the first 3 days in particular. As a result, I lost at least 50% of the fat he injected (he said I’d lose no more than 20 or 25%). I later got sick and lost the rest but that part wasn’t his fault. So in the end, there’s no butt enhancement, $10,000 lost, 6 weeks of extreme discomfort, and permanent disfigurement. I am beyond devastated. He will retort to this with lies and probably some out of context screenshots. Please don’t fall for it.

He was awesome! My recovery was harder than I thought it would be, so be sure to do your homework first, but the results are AMAZING! I had a tummy tuck and thigh lift and 360 lipo. Results are AMAZING; a small waist, rounded butt, flat tummy and thighs that don’t embarrass me any more. While in Mexico, Dr. Cartagena was so responsive to all of our questions within minutes, and we worried we were bothering him, but he didn’t care, his primary concern was me and that was great. Even though I am no longer in Mexico, Dr Cartagena reaches out to me at least twice a week to check on how I am doing. I will go back and see him in another month for a final check-up and look forward to what he has to say. Such a positive person and really cares about his patients.

I came here to get Permalip lip implants. The top implant was placed perfectly, but the bottom implant was placed extremely crooked. The right side of the implant is resting on the inside of my lip, where it should be, and the left side is pushing outward against the outside of my lip. Because of this, it is creating a HUGE bump on the left side which is not only pushing forward, but also pushing out to the left. Even though I had massive amounts of swelling for the first couple of weeks, I could almost immediately tell something wasn't right. That's how crooked it was. For the following two months, Dr. Stephania told me repeatedly that I didn't know what I was talking about. Even though I followed the after-care instructions perfectly, she fabricated that I "probably didn't follow them". She told me that the bump was either because I moved it myself (LOL), or it was a hematoma, or it was swelling, or whatever. I could not only SEE the massive bump, but I could FEEL the path of the implant inside my lip. I could feel with both my tongue and my finger that it was inside my lip on the right and pushing outward on the left. She told me repeatedly that this FACT is not possible. That she "placed it perfectly". I decided to give her a chance to fix it, so I went back to Mexico. She removed the implant and put it right back in the exact same spot, only now it's much worse. This time, the implant is pushing so intensely outward on the left side that it was poking through the incision she made. It immediately pushed out the stitch, so I went back in to have another stitch put in. I didn't eat for the whole following day, but the second I barely moved my mouth, the implant poked through the hole and pushed the second stitch right out. I now had the implant poking out of my lip, with the incision hole healing around it. She blamed me again. Then, once again, she told me over and over that it was just swelling, that she placed it perfectly, that I'm imagining it, that she's the doctor and knows what she's talking about, and on and on. She even told me that since I'm saying I can feel that it's crooked, it means that I'm touching it all the time. Complete lie. She blamed me for not being able to get Valtrex before my appointment (it isn't possible to get legally in the U.S. without an open Herpes lesion, which I don't have). She should provide U.S. patients with this the day before the scheduled appointment, since they can't get it. Even though I could literally SEE WITH MY OWN EYES that the thing sticking out of my lip is the implant, she continued to tell me I'm imagining things and the bump on the left side is NOT the implant. I have NEVER in my life experienced gas-lighting this extreme. I can literally SEE it and FEEL it, and she's telling me it's not real. I finally got the hole closed by figuring out how to do it myself. I had to stuff the entire bottom of my mouth with cotton for 4 days so that the implant couldn't push through the incision while it was healing. Now the hole is closed, but the implant is still extremely, extremely crooked. Altogether I've paid around $5,000 total for the two trips to Mexico and the procedure. Now I'm going to have to pay a few more thousand dollars to get it fixed from surgeons here in the States. Who, by the way, acknowledge that it's extremely crooked. She had the chance to take responsibility and fix the error. Instead, she made me feel for months like I was completely insane, like I was lying, and like I was at fault for the fact that it was crooked. She lied about a ton of stuff. If it was placed "perfectly", doctor, then how is it that it's in two completely different positions on either side of my lip? You placed the whole thing evenly behind the muscle, right? So how is it extremely deep on the right side, and barely under the surface of the skin on the left side? She lied and said that she made a new incision, which she didn't. I can literally FEEL that it's in the same spot because it's in my body. She lied and said she "cut it down" so it's not as long and wouldn't poke out. Then later she forgot she said that and told me it's "impossible" to cut it down. She could have just taken responsibility and fixed it. Instead, she would rather live in delusion that she's perfect. She would rather cause me extreme stress, time and money hoping that she'll fix it, than just acknowledge that she placed it incorrectly and place it in the correct spot. Now I'm broke and I look like a total freak. I have to keep cotton in my mouth 24/7 until a surgeon can fix what she did. Even though the hole is closed, she left the implant poking so hard on the side of my lip that it is painful and causes flaking & irritation. I can't do my normal activities and live my life. I can't take my mask off, I have trouble eating and drinking. I can't let anyone see me and I have constant stress. She COMPLETELY botched me and never ONCE took responsibility.
