The only thing good i can say is that the hospital food was good. Other than that, i travelled over from Canada years ago for a tummy tuck, that i later had to pay 7000$ for a revision on and they STILL couldnt completely fix it. I will start from the beginning, because no one should consider this place. I got recommended staying at the hotel attached to the hospital for aftercare, of which they didnt provide until the VERY end of my trip to remove the stitches from the tuck itself. I had some issues with my stitches in my drains and they wanted to charge me 500$ to use emerg in the hospital to fix it, and i ended up having to remove them myself, with the drains because it was tearing my skin. Second off, i had dog ears, my skin wasnt pulled enough, my belly button was gigantic and had 3 holes in it. The doctor refused to fix the issues, wanted me to pay travel and a new tuck to fix or cut my belly button in office with no anesthesia to fix it, which is insane. Office was extremely unprofessional about it and didnt want to help me. I had to pay 7000$ out of pocket for a revision with another doctor. I had to get a whole new tummy tuck to cut off the terrible scar and scar placement as well as the dog ears, this doctor did my belly button so horribly that they couldnt fix it, therefore i have to have this issue for the rest of my life. They switched my doctor last minute as well which i was uncomfortable with, but if i declined i wouldve spent thousands on travel for nothing so i just rolled with it, and its something i will regret for the rest of my life. Dont do what i did. Go elsewhere. It has been mentally draining me for years going through this, i was ashamed of my body, and scared to write a review. Now i am comfortable after a revision and want to tell my story. Do not waste your time going here, i highly recommend against it.

Doctor Sandoval performed buttock augmentation with implants and fat transfer on me in June 2025. Dr Sandoval is a talented, board certified, plastic surgeon who did an amazing surgery on me. His professionalism and surgical skill thorough and meticulous. The results were better than I expected. I went to Juarez, Mexico for some dental work and figured I’d also check into eyelid and under-eye surgery while I was there. I reached out to Dr. Flores Soto, his main medical assistant, Alejandra, and his team were amazing. Everyone was really professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. My first visit for my surgery consultation, I received Botox and Lip Filler, and he made me look very natural, not overdone. I just had my Blepharoplasty procedure almost a week ago, and so far I’m really happy with how everything went. I will be returning to remove my stitches, and I look forward to getting a chemical peel while I am there. Big thanks to Raquel and Dr. Flores Soto’s team for taking such good care of me!

After a lot of research , I know without a doubt that I chose the best plastic surgeon in Cancun ! In 2023 I decided to have a brow lift , upper blepharoplasty and revision rhinoplasty with Dr Arturo Valdez. To say that Dr Valdez is a brilliant surgical sculptor is an understatement. His expertise, attention to detail and ability to listen and understand exactly what I wanted was truly impressive. He is very professional , attentive and compassionate. My eyelids are no longer saggy, they look the same as they did when I was in my 30' s . My new nose is beautiful and very elegant looking ! And most importantly I am able to breathe properly now. Last year I decided to go back to Dr Valdez and get earlobe reduction surgery along with the removal of numerous cherry angiomas all over my body. Because of the dainty new earlobe shape my whole face has a more youthful appearance now. I have another plastic surgery planned in the next few months and am so excited about seeing Dr Valdez once again !

I had a 'mommy makeover' with Dr. Cartagena in Jan, 2026... I had consultations with several other doctors, Dr. Cartagena was by far, the most informative, reassuring, and knowledgeable. He explained the entire procedure in extensive details. Once I had my appointment confirmed, he was a text or phone call away ANY time that I needed him. Now that I'm at 3.5 weeks post op... he remains a phone call or text away.. he has calmed me countless times, whether it was pre-op, or post op,(due to my personal anxiety) with his calm, and confident demeanor. Now the fun part, we get to discuss the results! Hands down, could not have asked for a better outcome!! I traveled to Mexico from the US., I just had a follow up with my GP, he could not stop saying.. "man, this guy is good.." I Highly recommend that if your nervous, have any doubts, Dr. Cartagena is the perfect surgeon for you!

This doctor disfigured, gaslit and ghosted me. Dr Acosta gave me a BBL which involved liposuction. It gave me permanent lumps on my mid area He neither warned me of this risk, nor was it stated in the document I signed. When I left his office he told me to get lymphatic massages for the fibroids. I followed his instructions exactly, but it was ineffective. When I later contacted him about this, he told me that they weren’t fibroids and created a false narrative that this occurred because I didn’t follow his advice which was a blatant lie We had agreed in advance that I was to have 3 treatments with him: the second a BBL and the third a tummy tuck. He never advised me not to get a BBL or lipo (required for BBL). When I asked him to clarify,he told me that he’d stated that the proper treatment for this was a tummy tuck, which made no sense whatsoever. He refused to clarify what “this” even was. A tummy tuck in no way enhances the buttocks. I then sent him screenshots of every conversation we’d ever had, illustrating that at no time had he advised against the BBL. Since we were still slated to get the 3rd procedure (the tuck) I asked what he would do to treat these lumps during that time. No matter how many times I asked (even begged) I asked for specificity, he gave me cryptic, non-specific answers. He named procedures but refused to explain what they meant or what the risks were. When I initially approached him about this, it wasn’t to blame him. I just wanted a reasonable solution, yet he was defensive, manipulative, and vague from the very beginning and refused to provide me with any. These horrible lumps only appeared after the lipo. There is no other possible cause. He said it was loose skin which was expected. To be clear, IT IS NOT LOOSE SKIN. When I pull the skin back the hard lumps are still there, clear as day. The more I attempted to reach a coherent resolution, the more contentious and defensive he became; constantly deflecting, avoiding, and using cryptic rhetoric. He constantly gas-lit me and even questioned my mental health. It soon became apparent that he didn’t actually have a solution, or didn’t want to do what was necessary to resolve the problem, which is why he desperately tried to project the blame onto me. The last we spoke, he still agreed to see me for the third procedure which was part of our initial agreement, even though a resolution still had not been established. It was so stressful and still causes me extreme anxiety to this day. Then he just disappeared. For 6 months now I have tried politely and diplomatically to reach out to him, repeatedly explaining that I didn’t want to have to do this review but would do so if he didn’t respond. I was far more patient than I should have been. Clearly, he didn’t think I’d follow through Pictures don’t lie and there appears to be a pattern here, despite his high rating. I did a little digging and read a review by someone who stated that he had agreed to do a procedure on her, but when she asked him to be clear about the risks, he backed out of the arrangement. He obviously doesn’t have much respect for the hippocratic oath. The first procedure I got with him was a facelift, which went well and he seemed like a very nice person. Little did I know that if something were to go sideways, his MO would be to blame the victim and offer no empathy or clear solution. It should also be noted that he neglected to mention until after the 3rd day, that I should not sit on my butt. The first 6 weeks are the most important but the first 3 days in particular. As a result, I lost at least 50% of the fat he injected (he said I’d lose no more than 20 or 25%). I later got sick and lost the rest but that part wasn’t his fault. So in the end, there’s no butt enhancement, $10,000 lost, 6 weeks of extreme discomfort, and permanent disfigurement. I am beyond devastated. He will retort to this with lies and probably some out of context screenshots. Please don’t fall for it.
