Progress is being made through innovative research related to the potential of stem cells both for repairing damage to the nervous system, and slowing MS disease activity.
Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide. MS is an autoimmune disease that affects nerves in the brain and spinal cord, impairing muscle movement, balance and vision. The body’s immune system attacks its own nerve cells, and there is currently no cure, but many different treatments are available to help ameliorate the symptoms.
New treatments and advances in research are giving new hope to people affected by MS. Multiple sclerosis stem cell treatments are being studied for their efficacy in improving the complications in patients with MS. The ability of stem cells to self-renew offers significant potential for generation of tissues that can potentially replace diseases and damaged areas in the body, with minimal risk of rejection and side effects.
There are different types of stem cells and scientists are investigating several ways they might be used to develop new treatments for MS. Stem cells may be able to „reset” the immune system, repair the myelin on nerve cells or perhaps in the long-term may even be used to grow completely new nerve cells.

Best of all is that my cancer is gone. On February, 21 I had X-ray and blood tests at the hospital and I got the results last Monday. My onkoligist was one big smile when I arrived. She told me that the pelvic bone was healed. No more sign of cancer, and my blood showed that I am healthy and well recovered. I have to continue taking my medicine and have to come to the hospital every third month for a checkup.
We also thank God for meeting these people and giving us the strength and determination to overcome borders and stereotypes to seek help, wherever it may be. Myself and our families would strongly recommend this treatment with Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy.
Anyway for my daughter Dr. Gonzalez' treatment has been the greatest contribution to the steady improvement in the mobilty of my child. Mobility brings all the rest we parents dream for to have our children being able to acquire.

My energy level is much higher. I was very active physically during my holiday in Indonesia and I never seemed to feel tired. I am now able to play 2 to 3 hours of tennis without undue strain and my body seems to recuperate more quickly.
