I have a tendency to conduct endless research before I make a major purchase and this was no exception. I was considering making a major purchase to improve my smile. After several weeks reading reviews and researching the best dentists in Mexico I found Smile Makeover Playa Del Carmen. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. Like most people I've lost that bright smile and have been concerned with how much my teeth had yellowed over the course of many years. Getting veneers was an option I wanted to explore but the cost in the US was prohibitive. That's when I found Smile Makeover Playa Del Carmen. I spoke with the clinic and they answered all my questions and provided an estimate for the work I wanted. It was probably 20-30% of what it would have cost here. Despite the excellent reviews I was of course concerned about flying two hours out of the country to visit a dentist across the border. I found the clinic to be state of the art and the staff young, friendly and professional. They all spoke English and patiently explained everything that would take place. After my consultation on Tuesday I returned Wednesday for a surgical extraction in preparation for a bridge. I have to say this was the one issue that concerned me. It turned out to be a non issue. When I say I felt no pain I mean I felt "No Pain!" Dr. Martha was incredible and I experienced no discomfort in the days that followed. It was suggested I allow 8-10 days for the work to be completed. It turns out that I was there for 8 days and had some additional work done. My dentist back home had quoted about $500 for a surgical extraction and another $5000 for a four unit bridge. Smile Makeover extracted the tooth and charged me $54.00 and provided a temporary bridge for $675. I go back in six months for the permanent bridge. On Thursday I was back for the prep work for 20 porcelain veneers. Dr. Kimberly reshaped my teeth, took molds and provided temporary veneers until the permanents could be made. I had the next 4 days to enjoy the beach and shops while the lab created the finished product. I returned the next Tuesday and in less than 2 hours I had the smile I'd always wanted. My family and friends were so impressed 2 of them are planning their own trips across the border. I know this is a rather lengthy review of my experience with Smile Makeover but I wanted to provide as much personal information as possible to help someone else make this major decision. Don't be afraid to come to Mexico for your dental work and consider Smile Makeover Playa Del Carmen as the best choice, both professionally and financially.

I have just returned from PV , and had some major dental work done at International Dental Center. Dr Hernandez and his team were outstanding ! Everything went smoothly, and although I had some extractions I was not expecting, the communication was awesome and I truly felt like Dr. Hernandez cared and took the time to explain everything to me, I will be returning as my work could not be completed in one visit, but I urge anyone thinking of going to PV for dental work to contact this amazing team , Lisa is wonderful and is always available for questions ( she even lent me a hoodie for my stay! it was chilly and I didn't pack one ) ***** in my book! ( five stars ) I am thrilled with my new smile.

I recently had 6 zirconia implants and 5 root canal extractions done at Odontomedik in Tijuana. The clinic is state of art and superior to any dental office I've recently used in the US. I went to the clinic at the suggestion of the Gerson Institute as I was looking for a biological dental office and trust Gerson. Great experience. The professionals were well credentialed and all the work went smoothly. I am 70 so implants can be tricky as your jaw at that age generally needs some placet rich plasma added. As a result there needs to be a 3 or 4 month period between the implant procedure and the final add of the crowns. Both procedures went very smoothly and with VERY little pain. Couldn't be happier with the results. Also, when questions arise both before the work and well after all was paid for the clinic responds very timely and usually within the same day. As most know dental work is expensive and particularly biological dental work. I found the clinic well priced and the whole experience so satisfying that I will use them whenever I can going forward.

I also highly recommend Dr. Rivas at PV Smiles. Enjoyed our chats his English was excellent and I dont speak Spanish and the pain free procedures. Very much appreciated the diligence he showed in getting the impressions right and the pride he takes in his work. Facility is clean and well equipped and my two gold crowns feel great. Good value for money that makes the trip worthwhile. Thank you Dr. Rivas.

I love it

The quality of the work in general was good, except there was one big issue. In late 2023 I had four teeth extracted (front bottom, 23-26), bone graft in those sockets (and I questioned the need at the time!), and a temporary bridge installed. When the temporary was being installed, they had to press very hard to get the temporary down over the swollen gums. I had intense pain for several days after the procedure. I believe two, of the four open sockets after extraction, had "dry socket". The sutures holding the gums closed apparently failed, either from the swelling or the pressure of the temporary pressing on the gums. I think they should have waited another day for the swelling to subside. Fast forward to late in 2024 - I go back in to get the permanent bridge installed, with the understanding that if there were indeed failed bone grafts they would credit them back toward the permanent bridge. The panoramic clearly showed that the bone grafts were nonexistent in 24 and 25 (tissue, not bone, was there) and only partly filled in 23 and 26. Yet they REFUSED to credit the cost of the bone grafts, knowing that I had traveled there and was committed - they were refusing to do the additional procedures unless I paid the full amount. Not only a screw up, but also broke their word to me.

Dr. Sanchez is an outstanding dentist. After having several extremely frustrating evaluation experiences in the US, when I arrived in PV, I made an appointment with Dr. Sanchez. Without question, it was a good choice. He is professional, highly skilled, very experienced and fluent in English. My problem having a missing tooth replaced with an emax 3 unit bridge because the gap left by the missing tooth was too small for an implant was solved in two consecutive visits. I spoke with my cousin in the US who runs his own dentist business in Milwaukee and he was also impressed with the work Dr. Sanchez did he reviewed the pictures I sent him . I would highly recommend Dr. Sanchez to anyone who was considering dental work. As an added bonus, the price was approximately 75-80% less than it would have cost in the US.

Did a lot of online research to find one of the best reviewed dentists in Progresso and settled on Alpha One. What a great choice! John is a very special patient advocate that will provide advice on every aspect of your visit. Dr. Edgar and his staff are extremely professional and prompt. It's a 1656 mile drive from N. Wisconsin and very much worth it. In 2021, my wife had 5 crowns and misc and I had extractions, bone graft, several implants placed and misc done. All very successful. This year, had the abutments and crowns placed, again, very successfully. Excellent work and saved thousands even after traveling and hotel expenses. Thank everyone there!
