I am from USA and have lived in Cancun since 1981. I always went back to TX to get dental work because I didn’t know a dentist here. Some friends recommended Dr. Joaquin Berron and I began going to him in 1993. The cleanliness in his spacious office and the ultimate new techniques and equipment surpass what I have seen in USA. Dr. Berron speaks perfect English and spends plenty of time examining thoroughly, and then carefully explaining treatment options. Dr. Berron also taught cosmetic dentistry and Implants at LSU in New Orleans to dental students. So when I decided to put veneers on in 2002, I knew he was very capable. I just returned for my bi-annual visit August 2016 and the veneers are in excellent shape as good as the day he put them in. There have been friends visiting on me in Cancun from KY and TX who had dental emergencies here. They both went to Dr. Berron and were delighted with the treatment. When they returned home, their own dentists checked them out and said the work was perfect. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire process. From start to finish, the staff was amazing at handling all the necessary things required for the procedure. Dr. Emilio was amazing as well!! The procedure went flawlessly and the results, amazing!!

I have visited this clinic four times. They have improved their patient transport service—and that is the extent of their improvements. As for the actual dental work that professional specialists are supposed to perform, they simply do not know how to do it. Three different dentists worked on my teeth, and not a single one did a good job. And my dental issues were not even particularly severe: I needed two implants and four crowns on my lower jaw, plus work on the upper jaw where an implant could have been placed—yet they insisted that a bridge would be a better option. It seemed like a straightforward procedure, but they ground down my teeth so aggressively that, despite the anesthetic injections, I could barely open my mouth. At the time, I thought everything was fine—they assured me that everything was in order—so they placed the crowns, and I flew home. On the plane, my teeth began to hurt so intensely that I thought I would lose consciousness from the pain. If you look at a pain scale from 0 to 10, my pain level was a 20. I was in such a state of shock that I was physically trembling from the pain; my medication was packed away in my suitcase, so for over two hours, I prayed to God without ceasing—praying that I wouldn't die, and that I would live to see my little daughter again! I wrote to them constantly, but they deceived me, claiming that the pain would eventually subside. Alas, it never did. As for the crowns: they were suspended above the implants without touching the gums—a gap where food constantly got trapped. My bite alignment was ruined; the crowns on one side were too high, while those on the other were too low. They keep promising to fix everything, but then they simply vanish. And what about the warranty they promised? They have ruined the teeth of so many people. I simply cannot understand where all these glowing reviews come from. When I was there, the only people I saw were exhausted patients who had traveled there five or six times just to get their dental problems fixed.

The attention is first class, everyone is very friendly, Dr. Lucero treated us and her super soft hand and incomparable prices are delightful. Recommended.

I will admit, at first I had some concerns about going to another country for dental work, such as: Will they be there with transportation like they said they would be? Was the office really as nice as the pictures show, or was I walking into a dump and going to be sitting there for hours before they even get started? My first conversation with the clinic was with a young man named Andre. He spoke English fluently, which was a huge relief — that was one of my major concerns when booking the trip. The fact is that everyone at the clinic spoke English very well. So, Andre was a very nice and polite young man with whom I did all of the communicating and scheduling, except for one call when I talked to someone else and had to inform them that I had to cut my stay there from one week down to three days. Even after that, he emailed me to inform me that it would not be enough time to have my crowns made, which I was already aware of — but it was reassuring to know that there was good communication within their office. So, I flew in on Sunday, and on Monday morning, Andre called me up an hour before my appointment and said he would pick me up and take me to the clinic, which he did. Got there at 10:30 in the morning and was amazed at how modern and up-to-date everything was. There was nobody but myself there, and there was no waiting at all. I was introduced to Dr. Miller and his staff — all very friendly and pleasant to talk to. I proceeded to have my tooth extracted and bone buildup done, and also had a screw inserted for an abutment on a different tooth that was already out. After, Andre drove me to the pharmacy and went in with me to get my prescriptions, then dropped me off at the motel. In all, it was a very pleasant trip. I felt right at home and very comfortable. Dr. Miller did a wonderful job — so far (still need to go back one more time for crowns). So, if you're at all nervous about going to Mexico for dental work, relax — give this place a call. I highly recommend them and am sure you will be as pleased as I am. And as for the cost — well, I was able to pay for the airfare to Mexico not once, but twice, spend a few days there, have my dental work done, and still end up saving around three thousand dollars.

I recently had 6 zirconia implants and 5 root canal extractions done at Odontomedik in Tijuana. The clinic is state of art and superior to any dental office I've recently used in the US. I went to the clinic at the suggestion of the Gerson Institute as I was looking for a biological dental office and trust Gerson. Great experience. The professionals were well credentialed and all the work went smoothly. I am 70 so implants can be tricky as your jaw at that age generally needs some placet rich plasma added. As a result there needs to be a 3 or 4 month period between the implant procedure and the final add of the crowns. Both procedures went very smoothly and with VERY little pain. Couldn't be happier with the results. Also, when questions arise both before the work and well after all was paid for the clinic responds very timely and usually within the same day. As most know dental work is expensive and particularly biological dental work. I found the clinic well priced and the whole experience so satisfying that I will use them whenever I can going forward.

The quality of the work in general was good, except there was one big issue. In late 2023 I had four teeth extracted (front bottom, 23-26), bone graft in those sockets (and I questioned the need at the time!), and a temporary bridge installed. When the temporary was being installed, they had to press very hard to get the temporary down over the swollen gums. I had intense pain for several days after the procedure. I believe two, of the four open sockets after extraction, had "dry socket". The sutures holding the gums closed apparently failed, either from the swelling or the pressure of the temporary pressing on the gums. I think they should have waited another day for the swelling to subside. Fast forward to late in 2024 - I go back in to get the permanent bridge installed, with the understanding that if there were indeed failed bone grafts they would credit them back toward the permanent bridge. The panoramic clearly showed that the bone grafts were nonexistent in 24 and 25 (tissue, not bone, was there) and only partly filled in 23 and 26. Yet they REFUSED to credit the cost of the bone grafts, knowing that I had traveled there and was committed - they were refusing to do the additional procedures unless I paid the full amount. Not only a screw up, but also broke their word to me.

Cesar was very friendly and well educated. Cleaned my teeth and spoke with me about some future preventative work. I will definitely be returning here. Facility was very clean …I highly recommend this dentist to anyone going to los algodones/Mexico.

Dr. Sanchez is an outstanding dentist. After having several extremely frustrating evaluation experiences in the US, when I arrived in PV, I made an appointment with Dr. Sanchez. Without question, it was a good choice. He is professional, highly skilled, very experienced and fluent in English. My problem having a missing tooth replaced with an emax 3 unit bridge because the gap left by the missing tooth was too small for an implant was solved in two consecutive visits. I spoke with my cousin in the US who runs his own dentist business in Milwaukee and he was also impressed with the work Dr. Sanchez did he reviewed the pictures I sent him . I would highly recommend Dr. Sanchez to anyone who was considering dental work. As an added bonus, the price was approximately 75-80% less than it would have cost in the US.
